Instantly became one of my favourite, if not favourite dramas. I love the usage of color. How often Jihyun is in the light, or wearing lighter colors. Whereas Jaewon is in almost a grayscale like surrounding and wearing mostly gray and black. The acting from the leads is really solid and refined. Has some really likable (and a few unlikable) side characters that really fit in. The OST was very fitting and set the right mood. The episode with the painful ending, not having an outro but just silence was leaving you with such dread and worry, that was a great choice. I loved how there were moments without dialogue, where the silence was speaking volumes. The therapy scenes really stayed with me, leaving lingering feelings and thoughts. The way things where barely said, only a few words needed in certain moments, but the pain, numbness, fear, love, everything was clear. I loved how the leads looked at each other and hated when they couldn't. There's just so much I love about this drama, on so many levels, with so many different parts I want to sort through and zoom in on. I honestly have such a soft spot for Jaewon, looking at him throughout made me feel such sorrow. I'm glad the ending of this drama was satisfying.
I swear I wish this was all just a bad dream. I've loved him since Antique Bakery, and have followed his work ever since. Yes using drugs is bad. But it shouldn't be punished with prison sentences, it should be treated. And so when someone recovers they can pick up their lives where they left off.
