This is my thought why DH broke off contact with JY:DH has had an odyssey: - in Ep 1+2 you can see the trophies…
You're so on-point! When the source of your happiness (which is JY here) aligns with the source of your misery ( the father) it’s a disorienting, almost surreal blend of betrayal and heartbreak. It’s as if the one person or thing you’ve counted on for light has now added weight to the very darkness you’re struggling against.
It’s the kind of pain that feels like it has no clear remedy—a struggle not only with what they’re doing ( evident in the scene when DH says before the timeskips, "this time i don't understand you and I don't want to understand either.. ...") but with your own heart, which doesn’t quite know where to turn for solace.
When joy and sorrow intertwine, it shakes your understanding of love, loyalty, and trust to its core. I think I understand DH better now. I think.
I am a bit conflicted on this actually. Forgiving can sometimes be easier cos it’s an active choice. It’s…
it was a longggg and winding road to peace for me still.
i acknowledge all that you’ve shared - finding peace really is one of those journeys we all face, in our own time, and in our own way.
i’m curious to see how DH and JY navigate their paths here. no matter how it turns out, it’s just inspiring to see characters explore the same struggles, reminding that even in fiction, were not alone in these experiences. 🫶🏼

I get that it’s not easy. Think we've all been there, right? That moment when someone’s hurt us, and we find ourselves saying, "I forgive you, but to forget? Maybe never." I've lost count of how many times I've spoken those words, clinging to that feeling because, in a way, it felt like holding on was a form of justice. But after a while, I realized, it was doing more harm to me than anyone else.
So, for my own sanity, I let it go. I forgave—not because they deserved it, but because I deserved peace. What they do with that forgiveness is up to them.
This series is a masterpiece. It emphasizes that we should not forgive every type of torture we are subjected…
I am a bit conflicted on this actually. Forgiving can sometimes be easier cos it’s an active choice. It’s a step towards healing especially when you forgive for your own sake - recognising that holding on to anger or hurt only weighs you down.
However, forgetting can be beyond your control, and the memory of the hurt may even stay with you forever. The two can go hand-in-hand, but forgetting entirely might require more time, if it even happens at all.
I’ve also learnt the hard way that just because I can’t forget, doesn’t mean i cant move on. 🙂

also ......."back then, we were too big to play with other kids, so we had to play with each other.. " 🤔
