Forget romcoms, My Mister's character study raised my expectations of it so much that very few media actually…
i hated the entitlement and racism in lost in translation, its a good movie but couldnt get past that. id recommend soul mechanic/fix you, the smile has left your eyes and just between lovers, mother, the light in your eyes, beyond evil, misaeng, my father is strange and sky castle for kdramas. for movies id suggest better days, in the mood for love, the florida project, 20th century women, the farewell, short term 12, shoplifters. i doubt that everything will be to your taste, but i hope you do find something good in here to watch :))
there is already a lot of rom kdramas id say 98% are focused mainly on romance so you have a lot of choices :) i dont think you got what the drama is about if you are complaining about the lack of romance in it. i feel like a lot of viewers that watch kdramas are so used to watching only romcoms that when a kdrama that has no romance in it starts blowing up they start to fing pairings to ship and completely miss the point.
It was hard to watch earlier episodes, the ML is quite dense.. I wish they had chosen someone else as ML, just…
i loved him as the ML too! someone else i could think that would be suitable for the role would be Shin Ha-Kyun, i loved his caring and nice character in soul mechanic and pitiful and "broken"role in beyond evil
I was told this was dark and similar to extracurricular, but I get none of that based off episode 1 and I thought…
its similar to extracurricular in the sense that they are both psychological, the "dark" aspect in my mister is the existentiality which would not be considered dark by many. some would say its even a heartwarming drama and ive seen a lot of reviewers describing it as healing. its one of my fav dramas but a few years back id have prrobably found it a bit boring in the start too.
Is there a wuxia drama that has more realistic action scenes (without the flying when jumping etc.) ? I would also like to thank the author of the article, i really enjoyed the xianxia one and started watching the untamed because of it and added all off the recommended dramas to my ptw. <3
this is written so well, thank you so much for the list, the recommendations seem right up my street as i dont like dramas with romance as the main and only focus. Ive been getting bored lately of watching kdramas so im hyped up to try watching something different! I remember watching 1 ep of someday or one day and didnt quite like it (and i drop dramas very quick because i feel bad that i can be waching something better as my PTW list is so long lol) but i will watch it because of your summary on the drama :)
the rating was 7 when i started it in february and people were complaining its slow, boring and that there is not a single attractive actor playing (smh the disrespect)!!! im just so happy people gave it a chance and loved it as much as i did, its a masterpiece
ive been putting this off for so long because ive watched like 1 c drama and hated it but im finally watching…
first of all i wanna thank yall for being nice and not eating me alive because i said the cgi is bad. im not familiar with cdramas in fact ive been only watching kdramas so im still adjusting to the aesthetics. i do understand that they dont have a hollywood level budget and i saw some very pretty shots too, im not saying its all bad, its just that it takes away from the atmosphere they aim for imo. plus ive only watched 1 ep so im not invested emotionally yet (ive never watched an asian drama with 50 eps so its inevitable lol) i was just mentioning that when rating we usually look at things like cgi too, not saying that its all about it :) anyway brb going to watch it now and probably take my words back later lmao
ive been putting this off for so long because ive watched like 1 c drama and hated it but im finally watching ep 1 and the cgi is so baddd how does this have such high rating
