dont take douban rating seriously, none of these actors having a huge fanbae in china, idol dramas have a lot of haters, they cant boost rating like big actor fanbases, i think if it rise 6.1-6.5 it is pretty ok for this drama.

this drama is doing very very good numbers despite not having llng actors, douban is worst platform you can see as criteria for idol dramas

we are people who got to know winwin after perfect match, and when i learned what happened during that time my heart ached; the company told him the wayv comeback would be prepared in may and released in june, so he trusted this, accepted the drama, and started filming since it was about five sisters and his main scenes were filmed last, but while he was filming those scenes the comeback was suddenly moved to april without telling him, and at the same time he became the target of a huge hate train with posts reaching 100k likes on weibo, wayv fans attacking and mocking him, and even now under lcmj videos people still insult him, and the most painful part was seeing some members giggling with fans while skipping his parts and others praising the company during the time he was receiving so much hate. there is more but i know thi kpop stuff is boring so i keep it short.

they can say whatever they want about ye xian, but when they subtly shade the actor, it’s so corny. i agree with you, but some people say others are hyping the character because of the actor. i mean, winwin is not even that huge as an actor for them to be making up theories about him.

i agree with you, but i am talking about actor and his acting not the ship. and honestly i haven’t seen a single person shipping them in the comments except one setup account. in the novel, he was the male lead until the real male lead showed up. i blame the screenwriter for handling the characters poorly. regarding the shipping issue in china, we can’t tell the actor and actress to stop posting cp content because they are just promoting the drama. the reason the couple is loved in china is because it gives chinese classic dream of the red chamber vibes.

the part i disagree with you on is that i do think ye xian is a deep character. an anti character can be well written too. he is annoying, pmo, he confuses me a lot. i hate him, but he is also able to make me feel sad for him. and it’s really not about the actor is my taste of handsome, because i liked cisha in rise of ning too. i just love talented actors, and flawed characters are necessary for dramas. if an actor is able to make even 1 person to love an annoying character, that means they did a good job.
