LGX has a pretty nice voice. Check his modern dram with Seven tan. Just to hear his voice to hear the difference.

I haven’t been able to watch this type of shows for a while. . But this is working. Probably because they have such great chemistry.

You totally misunderstood
China is the only country that I know of dubbing actors because of accents among other reasons.
Part of being an actor is their voice, if that part of them is silenced then.
They shouldn’t be in the business
It’s a specificity of the country. I don’t like it but it’s not like I can change anything about it. I have no issues with accents. I adore hearing people with different accents. You clearly didn’t get what I was saying.
I didn’t get what you said about the main leads since I don’t read Chinese and I don’t follow their careers that closely though I do like them both.

No adr is just to clean sound. It helps when the mike didn’t register and or when as magnolia said something isn’t intelligible and they need to articulate it more. It also is used when you have a plane flying over for example. They run over their own voices but it’s not dubbing. It’s just a pass. Dubbing is very different. It’s like having puppets and then someone else doing the voice.
Dubbing isn’t used because an actor isn’t experienced enough.
China has an issue with accents and dialects, some actors may have accents or may not be able to speak mandarin properly (I don’t agree with that but it’s a specificity to China so we have to accept it but great actors are dubbed like this i feel sad.

There’s a difference between adr and dubbing. Actors doing a pass on sound to make their dialogues heard is very different to someone else dubbing an actor who is living that character and played it physically.

There was not one reject. Usually some are just really bad but she looked fantastic in all of them. It was impressive.

I stopped escape. It was making me too anxious. Plus the level of wtf was too high. Penthouse was not plausible in the least but it still had a modicum of realism to it. Escape didn’t at all.
