I started reading it about 6 months ago but dropped it. Ye li was too perfect so I have no clue how everything goes afterwards.
It was just grating because it felt like they change too much at the beginning. But once I fro the idea of a book adaptation the show is fun.

I read the double in parallel to the airing of the show. I love the show, I prefer the book. Because oeverall they got the main plots of the book. It’s not the case here though

It feels different. Because he’s colder than the one in the book. Also in the novel, it’s the guy who married his sister who asked the emperor to cancel his marriage to ye li. He tries to kill her a few times. And mo is always there to help her if she needs it but she’s very resourceful.
But they have a very harmonious relationship so it’s kinda the same without being the same.

They kept nothing from the novel pretty much. Most of the characters in the show are not from the novel. So you won’t have to compare. They’re very very different even the two mains.

Accepting or rejecting submissions by users takes a while. With cdramas because Chinese platforms tend to change airing, it’s not very reliable

Most of the characters in the show are not in the novel. Just don’t think about the novel, it’s going to give you a headache.

But anyone can access WeTV. You do not need to subscribe. It’s the same for iQIYI and youku.

If I have a legal way, I’d rather not use other sources.
