exactly, it could have been just a fluffy cute k-drama instead they had to drag it with a complicated historical stuff. i do like historical dramas but i find historical part of this drama so boring .

I actually found hometown cha cha cha boring. I find this one better. Maybe it's personal preferance.
That could be the reason. At the beginning of this drama, even I felt the same. I felt it was nothing new. It is not totally new but this drama does get better with each episode.
