The rating is so high because people didn't rate it based on the execution, but the joy it gave them. I'd say it's a well made drama with a lot of heart. I personally started loving it MORE and MORE as it gradually progressed so I would suggest that you give it 3-4 episodes more. Also episode 3 is where the story truly starts so I think you should continue it for a bit.

That being said since I'm not sure why it didn't pull you in, if you still don't like it after 8 episodes maybe the drama isn't for you
