All hail Inspector Kamin!!! I like the way Dunk portraying him so much! That quick minute he totally believed in Jade and used his title as a bet... I adore him... I love him...
And I keep replaying The Wild Hunt scenes?! OMG JADEKAMIN!!! JOONGDUNK PLEASE CALM DOWN!!! They're so great in performing those intense moments! The guns fight? The upcoming boxing? INSPECTOR KAMIN AND CAPTAIN JADE WILL WIN THE GAME!!! TRUST!!!
The drugs case must be linked to them. Mafia? Cartel? Gangster? Whatever they are, in Asian countries they're known to have business tied to corrupt police officers and bad political rings. Their long existence in taking part ruling the town alongside the government is always built on a lot of illegal things that beneficial to all parties; they execute dirty works behind the door while others display those clean achievements in front of society. I'm eager to see what's waiting for JadeKamin next episodes. Pretty sure if it's not coming from Champ's father's order, the accident outside restaurant was done by the same organization now targeting Jade and sending a threat to Kamin via a phone call.
Oh, but I'm enjoying our handsome leads' relationship development, of course. Couple in Korean dramas often can't show a proper romance because of the specific genres that similar to Dare You To Death's genres, and here we're served with a delicious romance about a serious inspector and his flirty captain. I love Thai BL show. Dare You To Death is easily one of my favourite watch on netflix. We get the mystery and the thriller where they keep our guard up on everything. We get the love story which actually beautifully crafted from the touch on nature of human needs that usually tend to be overlooked, disregarded, or dismissed because of the heavy stereotype formula in many police themed show. Every police officer in a very truth way isn't different than any person working in other job fields who need to be taken care of, need to share worries or any kind of feeling without being judged, need to have someone standing up for him also believe in him. Besides their interesting hustle during investigation regarding on-going cases, JoongDunk in JadeKamin roles really deliver all the fun and heartwarming moments wonderfully well too. The chemistry is great in making each scene so genuine, something rare nowadays.
Jay is a cutie and he's getting on my nerves at the same time. Bystander is never okay. But since Bell even picked Cherreen who was much closer to her to have the condo key over Jay the Captain Jade's brother, to save her own life by sacrificing one of them, I'm holding on to this slim chance. I want to trust him being the least dangerous among his friends. If he ever received a truth or dare letter revealing his secret, maybe later we find out he causing the trouble just because he's too naive and too ignorant inside his playful bubble.
Along the sins are gradually being revealed and the masked killer is sending them one by one to inferno, I wonder what reasons actually made Avengers staying as friends in the first place? Did they ever get the naive and genuine feeling for each other but then life changed them into bad people? Did they become loyal only because they happened to study at the same campus and somehow having a group with good public image would make you a cool person... also "safe"? Truthfully, I'm kind of enjoying Jay's role as a playful naughty younger brother around Jade and Kamin. But sometimes love is blind, or partner in crime is a thing. I do keep side-eyeing the way Jay has many wrong judgements in hiding things to protect his Avengers even from law. There is a proverb saying "birds of a feather flock together" and now it scares me if Jay turns out to be no different than his friends. No matter how much they banter or really fight, I just know it will still destroy Jade to see Jay with someone's blood on his hands.
A lot of people apparently are disappointed in a lot of aspects of the show, with the story, of the way the investigation…
I'd say those people are minority but loud. We love this Thai police BL show. We love JoongDunk as JadeKamin. We love everything and there are a lot more of us who love them!
OMG I LIKE EP3 SO MUCH!!! The thriller and the romance are both getting even more exciting than the first two! Our waiting for 2 weeks is very well worth it!
I'm now listening to the full song on youtube. Dare You To Love. And yes, I love the OST. Joong's light voice with Dunk's deep voice together created a beautiful harmony as well.
I just rewatched the 2 episodes we have and I can picture myself staying on my sofa for another round of JadeKamin's lowkey flirting during investigations if only my friends didn't ask me to go out tonight. It's so addictive! I understand GeminiFourth's excitement whenever they're with their "parents" because JoongDunk really has this kind of natural charms that make the pairing very lovable. You'll giggle, you'll feel shy, you'll be rooting for them to finally being a couple. In my opinion, the great chemistry is their strength and complementing JadeKamin's interesting dynamic where both of them already got a distinct personalities.
