Airing dates are decided by the broadcasting platforms. Directors and actors have no say on the dates. And this drama already finished filming last year

The delay has to do with censorship issues. It was supposed to air last year but was pulled back for another round of editing. The chinese name of the drama also got changed.

This drama has nothing to do with Yu Zheng. He doesn't get to choose who gets second or third lead. You can throw this rumour away.

Xu Kai became popular because of Yanxi Palace. What are you even talking about? He still gets called Fuheng and sometimes even Wang Lu thanks to the success of Lingjian Mountain. The Legends and AMA didn't do as well as many intl fans think.

I'm totally enjoying this one. I like the romance and ep.13 was tear-jerking. I saw the bts clips of that scene and the two leads did a really good job. The music here is good too.
