Just started episode 3 and realized that this must be some sort of Arielle retelling and now I am so hyped <3 I love modern reinterpretations of ancient myths so much <3
Such a feel-good drama! Had the last episode on hold for ages, because I didn't get why Ae Ra would break up with Dong Man for pursuing his dream. Why would she make Dong Man choose between her and his dream? I could understand how worried she was about his health, but couldn't they have found another solution besides breaking up? But it seems during the last episode, they did find a solution, so all is well :D Have to admit that parts of the drama were a bit slow, but the good parts more than made up for it!
At episode 7 and for some reason I cannot help but like her brother's character? When he tried to rebel, but all he did was smoke a cigarette the wrong way and live in a van for a week? :D
Sooo happy to find out about the sequel! I loved the story of Xiang Hao Ting and Yu Xi Gu so much, I really hope they are going to get their well-deserved happy ending after all! Also that pic of them is really sweet, how is Wayne Song so handsome <3
This drama would have been a straight 10 if not for how it handled the rape scene. The cinematography, the cast, the soundtrack, the chemistry between Rika and Kanchi - perfect. I haven't watched the original, so I don't know if it had the rape scene as well, but was that really necessary? The rapist even gets a happy ending and the focus is all on how we need to understand his pain and suffering? The one who is suffering is the woman he raped and by the end she even goes on a happy double date with her rapist? No. Just no.
Just finished and I really loved it! But the ending was somewhat rushed... I wish that they had dedicated more time during the last 10 episodes to Ling Xi and God of War... The last episode alone could have been 5 separate episodes...
I keep thinking that the main couple looks exactly how I picture Nanami and Yano from Bokura ga Ita. Sato Takeru especially, he would be the perfect Yano! (Even though I like Ikuta Toma as Yano)
Just finished Episode 10. Dan must be one of the most awesome rivals in the history of K Drama. Hats off to her, I usually dislike the female love rival. Also, can I just say how much I love the rat! He is so kind hearted and good natured! And, of course, the chemistry between the leads! It's off the charts!
I would say in reality he has shown kindness, because in real life she would have been dead along with all the…
I hadn't considered it that way! But still, I wouldn't really call it kindness to lock your love interest in an underground dungeon with no food instead of executing her. Perhaps kindness of a ruler towards their subject, but not kindness of a man towards his love interest.
At Episode 4 right now. I would really like to continue watching this, because the production quality is so high and Tang Wei is one of my favorite actresses. But I can't get over how much I dislike the male lead. He is supposed to become a wise and just emporer? But his behavior is so cruel and spiteful. Why doesn't he show even a little kindness to the female lead?
How could they end such a lovely series in such a random and thoughtless way? I still cannot believe it! My theory was that YXG gets amnesia after the accident and that XHT will have to make him fall in love all over again during the last 2 episodes. I was so sure there would be a happy ending. Only to be very disappointed.
At episode 51 right now. I have been waiting more than 20 episodes for Ling Xi to regain her memories and reunite with GOW. But now they are separated again? I know that Ling Xi has to regain trust in GOW, but still... I wish they could finally be together and happy... ;_;
