They tell us over and over that the couple are the same age. Even stating that he is more mature than her. I liked…
LOL I love the way you put it "Its like they had left over drab clothes and music and no one else had anything planned so they wrote another drama around the leftovers. ". agree!
So this is a 'noona' romance like SITR? I've been carefully considering watching this drama because I like anything…
OIC, so it's not noona then. good you got it clarified. Dont' worry about being accused of "discrimination" etc.. I think it's more cultural difference than anything. I posted my share of "negativities" about some Kshows host and drama plots... but other cultures will not think anything of them.
So this is a 'noona' romance like SITR? I've been carefully considering watching this drama because I like anything…
Yes it's noona romance and age-gap. A bit better than SITR, (I cannot finish SITR at all even though JHI was the lead). But apart from noona romance, this drama also talks about single parent not being viewed as ideal marriage partners by (Korean) society, about domestic violence and divorce (the elder sister), and the older generation's reactions/feelings towards their children going through such "undesirable" events. I think this drama will speak to certain audience since it touches life issues and prejudice in society ... but for myself, a foreigner, such events are no big deal so I find the story really frustrating. Just in case you ever want to try a noona romance, even if it's not your cup of tea, I'd recommend "Secret Love Affair" starring Yoo Ah In and Kim Hee Ae. Their chemistry are superb, wonderful music, deep deep emotional storyline. I've rewatched SLA over 10 times to date !!
Love Jung Hae In. He's actually the only reason I can continue watching this drama. I find both this drama and "something in the rain" frustrating in the sense that both female leads just drags on "wanting to be together, then not wanting, then wanting again, then not wanting, etc". But I guess "old woman/younger man" and socially, relatively, "not acceptable" relationships types of drama tends to be like that. If you like these contants ambiguous relationships where, in the entire drama, the charactors struggle to make a decision whether to be together or not, then you'll like this drama.
I totally agree she should be given more lead roles... watching WWW now and I just love her!!! Her romance with the second male lead (lee Jae Wook) is more interesting to me than the main leads. She's really pretty too !!! Looking forward to seeing more of her dramas !!
I love watching L and Shin Hye Sun together here!!! Excellent couple !!! But I'm a bit confused about the ending. Its says the humans and angles will work within the Deity's providence, but Dan's handkerchief disappeared, which I'm assuming he became human. So did he become human in the end? or he's still an angle but is visible to her just that one day because of what she wrote on the leaf?? anyone knows?
I agree, this is one of the worst characters in dramas, and I love Ki Yong but in that role he is very robotic…
I actually don't like the charator Ta Mi more. It's not convincing that she performs at the successful director level as claimed in the discriptions. The help she gets from the colleauges and the love Morgan gives her is so "forced/fake". The presentation of the Ta Mi charactor doesn't convince me that she deserves them. Also I find her reflection on whether she's doing the right things not sincere/genuine enough for me to empathize and overlook her faults. So my view is that Ta Mi's charactor needs to be re-written as well. I'm not sure if there'll be any improvement in the chemistry between ISJ and JKY even if the charactors are re-written, I just find they don't match, not even visually. But that's just my 2-cents worth, a grain of salt, and subjective. For fans of Ta Mi, please do not take offence.
Honestly though this drama could have been one of the best kdramas of this year so far if it weren't for Park…
I see what you mean... but at least Jang Ki Yong gets to smile in this charactor. The past 2 roles he played in "come and hug me" and "kill it" his roles didn't even smile. I love Jang K Yong and I find him a very good actor... his eyes alone expresses the message across. (I couldnt get over ep 2 when he twitches is nose and wink saying he's "relentless" LOOOL... nicely done...) I don't like the chemistry he has here with ISJ though... still think he had the best chemistry with Jin Ki Joo in "come and hug me", with IU was great too in "my mister", but those are just my preferences.
I'm currently watching Roommate and yeah I agree, such a lovely man- I've watched a few of his dramas though and…
I know !!!! isn't he gorgeous !!! The interesting thing is, not only females find him attractive, males find him attractive too!!! I believe he's straight though. Not sure why he's not married yet, I'd imagine tons of girls would be chasing after him. I think the new drama you're referring to is "strangers from hell"... I won't watch it because it's a horror show... I cannot watch horrors, too weak a heart, too scared to, won't be able to sleep at night... But wishing him great ratings in that drama !!!
I only just noticed Lee Dong Wook from watching Roommate last month (it's an old Kshow, in 2014, I think), but he really left an impression. Really nice man. So I started watching his dramas. Seems like he's always playing romatic roles (I'm not sure since I haven't gone through all his works yet). But OMG he's SO good looking. Lucky for all the female leads !!! It's so funny that in Produce X (current idol competition show) even the young boys kept flirting with him. LOL
Hi Areesha, not really, at least I don't think the parts that made me laugh was intensionally meant as comical. There are a number of places I cried. I'd say it's a serious drama. But the charactors are well written and well performed. The detective is the one who made me chuckle, but that's my own personal preference of his charactor (rebellious, tenacious, just all round cool in my view). It's a smartly written drama. I would recommend you to try this one even if you are looking for a comedy. Enjoy!!
at ep 11, ABSOLUTELY LOVING THIS DRAMA. but is Korea really like that in real life? That companies can get away from not paying wages (without filing bankruptcy)? That bosses can physically abuse drivers/employees, and the employees don't speak up in fear of loosing their jobs? This drama is a comedy and they did a good job on that. At the same time it also did a good job pointing out the problems the charactors face. But I keep wondering if the problems are really like that in reality. If so, then I hope this drama will bring awareness to the public, the authorities, etc.
