For me "divorce letter" in ep 13 was shuo hua's way to get both her and du yanxi talking seriously about their marriage, since they never got to talk to each other before. Mentioning about her late husband was also her way to start sharing about her past with him and indirectly telling him about her expectation. Yanxi was trying to quickly reconciling without them actually communicating and resolving their problem which would just cause her to keep resenting him in her heart if they don't resolve it now. If she just give in easily, it is possible for him to take her for granted again so she gives him tests to see if he is worth for her loyalty and affection.

You can find it in ep 17, it was very short scene. He saved it as "Honey" but the voice is little girl's voice.

There's this scene, when he was at Li li's house he answered one message which seems to be implying from a little girl. I'll try to find which ep.

Aside from that, he also told Han ting that he just can't leave his house suddenly at night, he seems to be implying that it's hard to make someone (probably his kid) to sleep.

This slot used to be within 20%-30% range but started from Three Bold Siblings it dropped below and sluggish within 16% range, although somehow mananged to recover and achieved 28% as its highest rating. That drama unfortunately was the start of the downfall of this slot and no other drama has performed better ever since.

For this eauty & Mr Romantic, it has been getting poorer result than Live Your Own Life too and no sign to touch 20% yet after 30 ep completed.
As a result, the next weekender Iron Family will get its episodes reduced to 36, with the hope it will procuce better rating.

It's because the last two drama were not as fun as this one lol. Besides after the underperformed female leads in It's Beautiful Now and Three Bold Siblings, this drama got a better actress with more interesting character.

Lim Ju hwan was great in this, minus his forced comical acting lol. He tried his best to save their on-screen romance but Lee Hana didn't react well to him , she was so absent in more than 10 ep in this drama when she was supposed to carry those episodes. AnywayI loved him in Ugly Alert and in most drama I have watched him in, so hopefully he will get better female lead next time.

Actually even knetz complained a lot of Lee Hana when this drama was airing, we are not in minority in this. It just became worse when they already complained a lot about Bae Da bin in It's Beautiful Now and in its sequal the female lead was as bad.
She was also the first biller but had to be heavily supported by other casts. People only complained less when her screentime was reduced.

You can start from ep 10, her screentime increased from ep 20 onwards :)

FL is acting coldly probably she is still embarassed actually lol 😭 both leads are in the phase when they need to start to actually communicate about their feelings so ML moved near to FL house will be easier now but this time he needs to be the first one to make his move.

FL should have been more honest with her confession but if she had, they would have started dating by now which only mean they will break up after ep 10 because of other conflicts 😂

24 ep will be perfect with no dragging hopefully. There are likes and dislikes especially towards the FL but this is the plot. Love the chemistry and tension between the leads already.

The best part started from ep 4. Yes it got problematic elements like FL got the stalking tendencies, and she forced kissed him.But I think the development will be quite good.
FL made a bold attempt to confess, got rejected and moved on in ep 4. She even decided not to be clingy and resigned from his company.

For me as long as writing is good, we can see her maturing throughout this series and it's better than having charming and lovely Cinderella as FL lol.

The rating isn't improving at all because so far knetz can't click to any character & plot. Viewers are supposedly to relate to the main character Hyo sim but they didn't. This is repeating what happened with the first leads in Three Bold Siblings, when writer focused to the sacrifices by the eldest daughter& son and their love story at first, but rating dropped with many complaints about their acting and lack of chemistry. Writer tried to create some love triangle as well but it didn't work at all. Rating only slowly improved when other couples started to get more screentime, and by the second half many twists happened for every couple - first couple the hidden son plot, second couple twisted relationship involving 5 persons, third couple with surprised pregnancy.

Can see this drama will start follow that route after ep 20, because so far viewers barely have any interest with the main romance and whatever love triangle writer is trying to write here lol. Second couple Hyojun & Mirim might be the hidden card here but it will depend on Hyojun's character development first. I believe Ruby is the hidden card as well to improve the rating. The Kang's family conflict is very kbs2 daily plot, not surprised it didn't get that much interest tbh. But writer really need to give more screentime to the potential characters that can get the attention and reduce the unnecessary characters especially the youngest. If she keeps inserting all characters each ep without any progress, rating would not pick up.

Maybe it's also because of Uee's acting? lol. She has been acting the same in almost all romance part in her drama that I have watched 🤣 But her chemistry with Lee Seo jin was sizzling in Marriage Contract which I think most credit due to him. She is good in crying scenes but just this one won't make her stand out because so many actresses are good as well. Maybe that's why this drama isn't fully focus in romance unlike the previous drama.

I'm just happy we got more of Mi rim & Hyo jun this week, love that they are represented the youth' dreams and struggles, something we don't get often in weekender. The youngest couple in It's Beautiful Now had potentials for this story but they were sidelined during the second half.

Hajun worked hard in the ep 9, was hoping for rating break but maybe it will be in the next few ep. I hope he can seek the truth about his parent's death and get his revenge.

Uee did well but Hyosim is not an interesting character. Unless if writer adds more layer to this character, it will just be forgettable and writer will just remind about her as the main character in the last few minutes in finale ep.

Anyway it's refreshing to see that men in this drama are more annoying than the women 😂 At least we got 3 feisty and lively girls - Hyosim, Mirim and Taehee.
Will be nice if we can get friendship between these three 🤗

To summarise, besides the main plot about Hyosim dealing with her family members, the other key plots in this are :

1) their missing father
2) the mystery and secrets within Taeho's family - his parent' death (highly possible they were murdered), grandma was locked up, my guess that Taemin's (second male lead) father might not be the real son, there seems to be possibility he was abused too (my guess).

This is really makjang drama lol.

Romance seems not to be the main focus, aside from main couple, the others couples are Hyojun x Mirim & Hyodo x Taehee. There is also story about the eldest son Hyosung and his family. I m looking forward for Hyojun x Mirim the most
( I love Nam Bora so obviously I'm biased, too bad Hyojun is annoying right now lol. Would be so happy if she was paired with Hajun instead but unfortunately I can't get everything in this life 😂)

Side stories : the other tenants in Uicheon villa

Getting the veteran writer to write for weekend drama again, the vibe surely is different from the last 3 drama 😆 It's just 5 ep but there are a lot of stuffs been introduced already. I can't say I'm that invested but I am curious how things will unfold.

The other drama with age gap romance she did, her character and story barely had significance in 2nd half of the series especially in A Thousand Kisses. Three Bold Siblings started with her had no significance to the drama at first but she had more presence from ep 20, which personally better for me even the story was not that great.
