(ep 15) The gallery at the bus, made my tears come out all by themselves. There is so much to say about this ep. YO might come off as bad and selfish but by the end you start to see the pressure she's under. She is suffering from pain, exhaustion, guilt and anger at unfair society who judges her sister. YH just wants to be with the people she loves, she's not less in her feelings, wants and desires, but society has made it difficult for her to function without relying on others, not to mention the issue of constant discrimination and pushing her and others with disability into the fringes of society. She needs acceptance and understanding and you can see that a lot of the people at the town were doing that and she felt happy and at home. My rosy outlook would have loved to have her stay and continue drawing for people and enjoy the company of friends, but I can see the difficulty in that for YO. At the end of the day while YH can be somewhat self-reliant, there are things were she needs some support with which towns people won't be able to do and YO has her own life to live. Maybe by the end, things change and they are able to compromise somehow.
Here I was happy I get to binge watch this show only to realize at ep 2 there is no way in hell I can take this much trauma in one dose... ㅠ_ㅠ The only beautiful thing so far is Kim Hee Sun make-up, that eye shadow is <3
I realized this series gives me similar vibes to that of Happy Birthday, albeit that one is more sad. Also casting in both were right on the nose. The narrative and the way they concluded the stories are more realistic and it's all about the journey of the characters and their development. Also I think this series will hit different for someone who is older/mature, because you have regret, you have moments you wish to change and we need a reminder to try and live our lives to the fullest rather than dwell in the past.
I really enjoyed this. Bittersweet but there is s sense of satisfaction knowing each got to do what they had initially wanted to do. I think with Songpol there is sadness but also relief. I'd like to believe that he's finally able to break free and focus on himself. I'm both happy and sad for Charunee. I think I feel most sad for Bomb who only got to be with Charunee and feel her reciprocate his love for such a short time. Overall time heals all wounds, even if it leaves scars.
Absolutely loved it. I knew all the cases by heart but still the adaptation holds its own . The stories are fit for the republic era and Shanghai at the time and everything is grander and beautiful with great chemistry between Wenli and the inspector. Highly recommended! I wish they would continue with more seasons!
Is there anywhere to watch that series with English subs?
The only place is SBS Australia and if you don't live there use VPN. It's free to watch, you just need to create an account. I've been doing just that and it's working great. I'm half way through. https://www.sbs.com.au/ondemand/program/miss-s
When will I ever find a Cdrama that doesn't drag :/ But the chemistry between the leads is really good. Also one of the few romantic cdramas where there is not, how should I explain it, many conflicts between leads? idk if that makes sense but the angst between their romance is short lived at all stages of their story. Also ML is super nice and FL is strong and I liked them both.
I'm re-watching this and ended-up upping my score. Still cried and felt every emotion portrayed. I have to say I realized that the casting director did an amazing job choosing Plustor as teenage Push and Chimon as teenage Na, the resemblance is so there!
