Love, love, LOVE how this is written. It's the kind of production that requires you to pay attention to every…
indeeed!! every second felt rewarding and impactful. my emotions swelled a few times and i even cried when the older women hugged her gf and she was crying in the house
at first i find this drama really slow pacing. the first episode is really hard to watch because how slow it was,…
yea it was really dark. luckily i watched it in low light area and I absolutely LOVED the creepy liminal feel the purgatory place (early eps) was giving. They had so much contextual clues too so it was rlly fun to figure out
I LOVE IT WHEN A SHOW REWARDS YOU FOR PAYING ATTENTION. So many details and contextual clues during the early few(1-2) eps, totally sufficient for those interested to have a good idea of what is and might happen. Also loved the order they told the story in. I was drawn in by the poster alone so I started with absolutely no idea what this drama was about other that it being mystery.
At ep 6 rn and I figured out pretty early on that Hyunju wasn't "human", i just couldn't figure out what her "strangeness". Her mother being aware that she's dead and in limbo with her daughter was so sad. She was trying so hard to get her daughter to become aware at the Light Shop, aka the light at the end of the tunnel, by making her go there "everynight". She doesn't go there herself because if she does, she will have to leave her daughter and move on to the next world, afterlife.
During the first few eps, i thought Seolhyun's character (jiyoung) was some sort of a grim ripper/demon ghost, and she was trying to get them all first before they went into the Light Shop. But after noticing that she wasn't going after any of the other characters + what she said to Hyunmin at the start, I concluded that they were lovers in the "past life" and shes was trying to keep him with her. Only at ep 6 did i learn that she is the will keeping him alive. Also, the older woman hugging and looking over her younger gf, in the purgatory house, made me cry soooooo bad OH MY GOD. I was UGLY SOBBING. Its clear that the older lesbian is dead URGH WHY ARE LESBIANS SO TRAGIC ALWAYS (but ok tbf the straights jiyoung and hyunmin also as tragic) and only young gf can make it to Light Shop TT. I think most of them will find their will to live.
Can't wait for ep 7, what the HECK is the Light Shop owner omg. Very very intrigued. Beautiful story with great pacing, though it can be a tad bit slow for my adhd self. The cinematography of the "purgatory" place is BEAUTIFUL (ik i have an odd definition of beautiful but its, i was squealing over how it looked like some liminal space area during ep 1 and I was spot on)
VERY VERY VERY GOOD DRAMA 10/10 recomended. I know i'll cry during the ending i just know it. I can already predict with 90% chance who is making it and who isn't and IM SO SAD BC im pretty sure Jiyoung won't make it TTTT
this kind of "bAloNeY" shit does happen in reality tho. Powerful people blackmail, threaten, bribe, work others…
nope i was in express stream and theres no bullying here, but i have witnessed some nasty bullying in normal stream where kids study less and are much more free to act out on their cruel thoughts. anyways, if you wanna be a hater, at least be a smart hater, cuz your reasons were so ass
i think the drama would be better if they casted a different actress for the main character.. and perhaps recast yeri too.. i love yeri but she just wasnt scary, idk if its due to her portrayal of the character or the writing of it all
Edit: nvm, i read the daylight + talking in the open comment and that makes so much sense
