Ahh. Where to begin. I was so so so excited for this one. I mean - Seo In Guk and Lee Soo Hyuk sharing the same screen?! I had all my chips in for this. And as I kept watching, I really wanted to love this drama so bad. And yet...while there was so much potential for an epic story, sadly what was delivered was lackluster and repetitive. By the halfway mark I found myself not getting attached to the story anymore. There were definitely adorable scenes and moments when I was squealing at my screen, but overall the story just fell flat. Weak writing was only just saved by the impeccable acting. The entire cast delivered more than what was given to them - which was sadly, very little. I'm not even impressed how well the cast gave their all, since this was a cast of seriously talented actors! Sigh. At least it was visually pretty and stunning!
Wow. WOW. Such a satisfying drama. Having an anti-hero truly was so refreshing! I can't believe 20 episodes are done already!! I'm going to miss my weekly dose of all these characters. Another hit by writer Park Jae Bum to entertain after Fiery Priest!
Great acting, as expected! I was very happy with the cast! But right now, I finished it with so many questions... it's definitely better than other time travel shows/movies I've seen, and while plot holes are expected I still need to wrap my head around everything. It's probably much easier to go through this with logic thrown out the window though (don't fight it like I tried in the beginning haha!). In order to fully understand the complete ending I needed to keep reminding myself it's fiction, and to ignore any and all plot holes and any questions in the back of my head. Glad I saw it, but definitely not a rewatch type of drama.
I can't stop laughing while watching this show. Every episode I watch, I think it's the best and I love it and then I see another and realize somehow it's somehow better?! 8 episodes in and I'm loving every minute of this show. This cast is just fantastic!
A nice slow burner drama (so far at ep 12) The 2 things that really stand out are Lee Jae Won and his little relationship (which isn't getting nearly enough screen time as I would prefer) and Chae Hyun Seung as a character. I absolutely love that character so far. Unlike a lot of the typical drama leads, he's calm and respectful and I'm finding that really refreshing. He understands boundaries, he has such a good and healthy relationship with his sisters and his colleagues... and he's literally the sweetest man in love. Ahhh.. another character to raise the bar to unrealistic levels.
So adorable! This show was such a sweet and easy watch, I didn't want it to end. It's great for anyone with anxiety because the beginning of the first episode basically spoils the end of the show, so you can sit back and relax as you watch since you know what's going to happen. Really loved it! Finally a good modern c-drama without flashbacks taking up the latter half of the show! Also, the chemistry between the actors was on fire, and for once in dramaland we have main leads that both support each other and also themselves - there's no 'love me or i'll die' mentality - very mature and very enjoyable!
This show truly brings me so much joy, I can't stop laughing throughout the whole thing - the little imagination segments are so ridiculous. I never thought I'd enjoy a school drama like this! kudos to the entire cast!
I usually always know who I'm rooting for in a drama, but this is the first time in a long time that I'm actually torn right down the middle between both male leads because both are actually really great guys??? like they're both good and I want to just give them both a hug?? and also equally beautiful. Ahh
OH WHERE TO EVEN START RANTING. I really really wanted this to work... really was hoping for this to be a good one. I mean this cast! (The chemistry possibilities between them all in a political historical!) But no, of course not. This cast deserved a good historical drama. But what the heck ... I couldn't get myself to keep going after ep 18 (even up till there it was tumultuous for the nerves) . And I don't blame the cast - it's the characters written of course. (And the hot-cold writing for me personally ) I love a good political drama but this one.. perhaps this is too bitter for my cup of tea :(
Umm so I actually blacklisted this screenwriter bc of Doctors, she just has a very anticlimatic/boring way to…
I'd say give it a chance, you never know when a writer's work will communicate to you.
But otherwise... this happened to be one time I went in blind to a drama, without looking at the writer and director, and only after reaching a point where I don't want to keep watching anymore did I realize who the writer was. And then I went 'ohhhhh'. But the beginning episodes were nice and shows the potential. In my opinion, this script is too lacking - especially for such talented leads :/
I haven't been able to watch past episode 7 - I've really enjoyed everything I've seen and the cast is incredible…
I'm in the same dilemma as you! Ever since ep 9, I really don't feel the urge to continue watching and I can't figure out why. It's just surprising because the first few episodes really pulled me in and I really adore this cast. (Especially Park Bo Gum, he's such a soothing actor) :/
(But I did realize I never enjoyed this writer's previous works...)
