Iām unsure if Gumpa is aware that Black is in hospital, but apparently the gang was informed of what transpired with Black. Many scenes have the members speak of the almost ākillingā of Black and alludes to this as the reason for the personality change.
Clearly; Gumpa is subconsciously aware that there are many personality traits that differ between the Black he trained and the individual who know resembles and identifies as Black. He provided many examples in EP. 3 of the questionable patterns of behavior. Sean continues to test and get closer to Black/ White. The gang member who appear to be oblivious to all of this is Yok.

I do recall the scene in Blackās apartment and 2 objects with the initial of B & G. I have concluded as you did that Black may have had a secret crush or was in a relationship with either Gram or Gumpa.
In one of the scenes on his motorbike Gram recalls a memory of Black to White, Black having taught Gram how to live life free in which he stated āFreedom is the oxygen of the soulā.
In another scene, Gram noted that White was wearing perfume, styled his hair, etc.. He stated he has always tried to get Black to do this, but admitted defeat. Gram admitted to White he likes the new Black.
In my opinion, this is a love triangle. Gram may have a crush or is questioning his feelings for Black. However; the twist is that Black may have a crush or is in a relationship with Gumpa, and Gumpa knowing White is not Black; is holding on to whatās left of his ill fated lover who is dying in hospital in White.

In my opinion Sean suspects that White isnāt Black, which in turn allows him to have these unexplained feelings for Black. The boxing scene, I believe was a test for White to prove to Sean that he is Black. White failed miserably! However; Gumpa trained Black himself and the pair appears to have been very close. Gumpa articulated in a scene that White/Black was āweakā and ālacked strengthā. Thatās a telling sign.
After rewatching Not Me The Series and Ep. 3, my intuition is telling me Sean and Gumpa know or suspects White isnāt Black. Hereās a quote from the episode where Gumpa invited White/ Black to stay in his garage āstay here with me at the garage. I will train you to be good as you once were. I donāt see fire in your eyes, you lack the strength, and your heart is weakenedā. When White asks for time to consider Gumpa then stated āMy name is Gumpa. Iām the owner of this garage. I insist on you staying here with me and everything will get easierā. The real Black may have been close to Gumpa and disclosed or shared that he was a twin.
