ok, i'm not gonna lie; i think ep 10 is a mess. too many things happened in one episode, too many twists and turns that complicated the plot, too many awful decisions made. this drama grew on me very quickly, so needless to say, i'm a bit disappointed.
one thing is clear: this should've had 16 episodes instead of just 12.
sooo i ended up binging this and loving it but. BUT!!!! how am i just learning that the guy who played higuchi was ALSO adachi from cherry magic?!??! ðŸ˜ðŸ˜
i looked up the cast and was like, "wait, his name sounds familiar" after finishing the whole ass drama.
THIS IS ABSOLUTELY CRAZY TO ME OMG. like how did i not recognize the guy. funny how he mentioned bl in one episode too LMAOAOAO like no wonder.
Now, I actually gave up watching it twice, I could relate to Kawi sometimes but most of the time I was annoyed…
omg gurl pls tell me u got around watching this gem!! i often say that the first half is nothing special, but the second half makes it so, so worth it!! u definitely won't regret it. :)))
This show is just a cheap ripoff of every fantasy show aired this year, from Kokdu to SYIM19L to Destined with…
u're so real for this. literally i wanna take offense at what they did with this so-called adaptation. i wanted to see the webtoon come to life so bad, but this just isn't it. :((
Oh, how does it end in the webtoon? I don't mind spoilers. After watching the first episode, I thought that the…
i'm fairly certain that joon-oh did die in both the webtoon and the kdrama; in fact, he was already in a whole casket when ML took over his body and suddenly came alive again lmao. joon-oh's soul would be pushed back at times, but most times, he's inside the body with ML.
it's funny though bc joon-oh never had cancer in the webtoon, just a rlly weak heart. not sure where they're going with this in the kdrama, but joon-oh does get his life back in the webtoon somehow and would make the most out of it for sure. :]
I didn’t read the webtoon but he should understand why she killed him when he literally killed her family
basically he killed them to avoid more bloodshed. the idea of war was never ML's idea but more like something someone in his position had to do. instead of killing ALL of kayan people, he took the general (FL's father) and his family's head instead (while FL managed to escape) and ended the war there. it resulted into FL and her remaining people to be slaves, but it was better than all of them getting killed.
after their marriage, ML literally does everything in his power to make amends and protect the kayans. he'd do anything for FL.
now i'm not sure how much of this is true in the kdrama, but this is what happened in the webtoon.
What?🙄When i am thinking what's went wrong between this two!🤔If his past soul came, then he knows half truth, then…
uhh, actually joon-oh should know nothing about their history at all. if the go the reincarnation instead of descendant route, then he might just acquire all of ML's memories.
i would personally hate that, but eh, it is what it is. if u're interested in the story, read the webtoon for sure!! it's waaaay better and is set in a university setting with none of the entertainment industry + firefighter nonsense. :))
I didn’t read the webtoon but he should understand why she killed him when he literally killed her family
hmm, pretty sure that deep inside he does. as i said, he loved FL too much to even hold a grudge against her honestly, but seeing her live and die again and again as a ghost changed smth in him. the only reason he's attempting to take her life this time was bc he thought it was the unfinished business he had to do to pass on.
and spoilers, it was not; in the end, he finally leaves, happy that the FL was doing well after breaking the chain of misfortunes. i'm telling you now, if this drama is anything like the webtoon, ML would never do anything to srsly harm the FL – on the contrary, he'll always be there to give his everything to save her life... until his time has come at last. TT
i read the webtoon, so i'll try to sate ur curiosity. :)) ML ofc had his reasons (less bloodshed for FL's people),…
hmm, well, joon-oh remains possessed by the ML for like, half of the webtoon and the other half, he lingers as an "evil" spirit that only the FL can see and a few others can sense. not sure how they'd play it in the drama, but joon-oh, who was by no means a love interest AT ALL, got his life back somehow in the end of the webtoon. it was not a whole life, but it was said that he'd make the most out of it for sure.
if there's anyone who's a 2ML, it's min-oh who bore feelings for FL and was willing to wait for her. she, however, was not ready and even i'm not sure she'll ever be. i say it's kinda a sad ending but not a bad ending bc everyone especially the FL eventually does better, finds work, makes new friends. atp i wasn't even concerned who she would end up with, as long as she was happy. i'm sure that's what the ML was thinking before he finally passed on too. :'))
I was as confused as you are. The ML killed her father in battle and came home to kill his family. She's justified…
it actually hurts to see people curse out the ML when i've come to love hom so much haha!! i swear, even in the webtoon, i was a bit creeped out by him at first bc i'm telling u – ML was genuinely scary and only gave off evil spirit vibes in the beginning.
also they were obvi married, i daresay that's the one thing they won't change even in the kdrama. and the killing of FL's family took place FIRST. ML took the FL in, basically spared her, and began a kinda fake marriage with her to achieve something they BOTH wanted. but the two ended up faking it till they made it. if there's one thing i can tell u abt their relationship, it's that EVERYTHING that transpired was purely consensual. i admit that the ML can be brutal at times, but he's ever so gentle with the FL and never mistreated her.
idk how else to say this, but he LOVED her – more than anything. do u know what he said in his final moments, bleeding out after the FL slashed his neck?? not words of vengeance or curses or hatred, not even a question of why she did it; he saw that she was aiming the sword at her own neck next and spent his last breath saying not to do it, not to fking kill herself. oh, he loved her so much.
idk honestly, but the webtoon rlly holds a special place in my heart. u're welcome to hate the ML as i did at first as well, but srsly, he just might grow on u once u find out for urself what their story was truly like. :'))
i'm going to be real plain here: yes, it's a sad ending, but that doesn’t necessarily mean it's a bad ending. they may still change it in the kdrama tho :'))
I am oblivious to webtoon...so I have no complain or venting on that part and I love it...but I am confused?Wasn't…
i read the webtoon, so i'll try to sate ur curiosity. :)) ML ofc had his reasons (less bloodshed for FL's people), but the thing is they both genuinely loved each other. did the hate just completely disappear?? no, but did FL start to fall for him anyway?? yes, and she was disgusted in herself for it. that's why she was so miserable.
and ML is not necessarily after her; the only thing he did, or was allowed to do in a ghastly state, was watch over her many, many incarnations. and there is no doubt that both the FL and ML did something immoral in their life. but i wouldn't call them evil, just people – flawed people who ended up falling in love despite it all.
and FL did not fail at killing ML at all, but she did fail at killing herself and (major, major spoilers) the baby she carried in her womb.
and ugh!! i would actually kinda DESPISE it if FL and joon-oh would be endgame like, ew?? it just feels wrong after knowing everything that happened in the manhwa haha. joon-oh's character is kinda irrelevant in their love story besides ML using him as a medium and the fact that he's their descendant, so idk. but yes, i hope this helped. <33
i genuinely hate how much they changed in the adaptation and will continue to think of this drama as some kind of alternate universe. i was especially pissed to hear ML call FL by her name right off the bat; he usually only called her noona in the webtoon bc joon-oh was younger than her, he's so cheeky!!
the thing i liked abt the episode tho is that they kept the scene in which ML uses a kitchen knife and try to stab FL with it.
and spoilers: well, ofc he wouldn't. how could he, with all the love he still has for her?? :'))
This doesnt seem like a proper webtoon adaptation to me. Though i havent read the whole webtoon, i went through…
@sun2way is right. this was a hit in kr, but didn't really do well globally/in the en side, maybe because of the lack of an official licensing from webtoon. :((
Not going to lie, I’m glad the ML actor died and the lost soul took over his body. He was a bit too obnoxious.
sooo real, joon-oh in the webtoon was not nearly as obnoxious despite being younger, but he did do some pretty questionable things after doha took over his body ,,,
one thing is clear: this should've had 16 episodes instead of just 12.

the assassination attempt, the bet, and "learned from you"???!? kdrama ML is getting a bit too hard to defend.
i stand by my words abt ML in the original though, i love him sm. read the webtoon, yall, it's so worth it. <33
literally talk to anyone who read the webtoon like me, they'll all tell you that our ML deserved better. :'))
and spoilers, it was not; in the end, he finally leaves, happy that the FL was doing well after breaking the chain of misfortunes. i'm telling you now, if this drama is anything like the webtoon, ML would never do anything to srsly harm the FL – on the contrary, he'll always be there to give his everything to save her life... until his time has come at last.
