KIM NAMJOO! WOW! She's impressive. I've only seen her in Misty and honestly I did not like the drama that much and I couldn't stand her stoic acting. But the drama Wonderful World she is amazing, really astonishing. Her character is completely at the end of the spectrum from Misty. She really is something else. I hope she doesn't wait another 6 years to film a new drama.

I'm finally at ep14 of season 1. It's gotten better but not much. Penthouse was so good compared to this drama. I'll finish it off and decide whether to go forward and watch the 2nd season.

This drama started off great, but then around episode 12 it was just dragging. I think watching molasses climbing up a hill on a winters day would have been more interesting.
How in the world did this drama get such a high score? It took almost 10 episodes to finally stop be boring and then the dragging. Did the writers forget to come up with an ending? If it hadn't been for Jo Jung Suk I would have stopped watching. He was phenomenal.
Agree 100% about Jo Jung Suk. Imo the FL the actor herself I have disliked since her first appearance. She just cannot act period. Her fluttery eyes and her mouth movements were so exaggerated but I think that's just her, can't change her non actor habits. Court Lady Dong was annoying as hell, haven't watched to the end yet. The crown prince was adorable. I think they ran out of ideas for episodes, I was bored up until the king finally took action. Maybe episode 11ish? But overall The King had the best performance I've seen in a drama with a king in it. Jo Jung Suk was phenomenal.
