Another well written piece by you @uglyduckling. I couldn't agree more. Method acting takes a toll on your mind body and soul. Junghyun took his role so seriously it nearly killed him and he had to leave the set and his role in Time. The viewers can't seem to grasp that he wasn't joking during the press conference, nor was he being arrogant or rude.
Christian Bale is known for doing the exact same thing, when he took on the role Trevor Reznik in The Machinist and he had to shed 62 pounds. Bale explained that it wasn't the process of losing weight that was hardest - but the effect that it had on him physically and emotionally. He also had to put on a whopping 100 pounds for Batman Begins and then lose weight again for The Fighter. It's a rollercoaster but the best actors in Hollywood do this. Charlize Theron in Monster, Renee Zellweger did every time a Bridget Jones as so on and so forth.
People need to stop and think, stop judging others period. Things are getting out of hand as it is in the world, our get away is our dramas, our music etc Why drag everyone else down?
