Thank you so much for this article and for sharing your experience! I have seen several dramas with transplantation…
Oh my gosh yes, I know we only briefly mention Black in here, but that transplant sticks we me so much just cause of how shocking it is. The writer seems to be a fan of that trope and it really stays with you

So excited to see this article come out!

I'd like to give a huge shoutout to Shiro for letting me work on this article with her, especially on such a personal topic. She did a lot of the heavy lifting, and it was such a joy getting to help write this. I learned so so much during this process from her, and I hope that yall learn a lot through it as well <3

Some super-odd music choices . . . I Vow to Thee My Country/Jupiter, really?
thank you so much for commenting this omg. I'm one minute into the first epsiode and knew I recognized the music as something I'd played in orchestra but couldn't place it. Was driving me crazy till I found ur comment and realized it was Jupiter.

Title Train
I like coming back and rewatching this sometimes just because of how brilliant Yoon Shi Yoon's acting is in it. His performance in this is just insane, he really sells being two different people.

Your review is just totally spot on! This was a shockingly emotional show to watch, and while slow paced, a really wonderful show nonetheless.

As someone who loves watching content about criminal profilers, this show is definitely my favorite k-drama regarding…
Yes omg!! While I love some criminal profiler characters in other shows, this is the first korean show focused around criminal profilers that I truly loved (especially since I couldn't get through the korean remake of Criminal Minds haha)

Here's the thing, I'm pretty sure people who disliked the show are downvoting the higher rated reviews. No other…
aw no ): that's such a shame. this show is truly a masterpiece, and I'd hate to see people miss out on it

I rlly hope people aren't put off by some of the lower rated reviews! This show may not be a plot-twisty thriller, but it's seriously brilliant. While its realism may be what some people view as boring, I think it's spectacular and makes it stand out from other shows.

I'll surely do that once I'm done with the top 3 and I'll let you know.Thank you for the encouragement, just so…
Thank you, I'm so honored that you thought so! Especially since you did such an incredible job with the comparison in this article!

This is such an incredibly detailed article, I can tell you've put a lot of time into it! As someone who tried many times to get into the webtoon but couldn't, this really helped me see what I was potentially missing, although I think I'd still end up liking the drama more!

I saw that you're only doing the top three from the voting list, but I def think What's Wrong With Secretary Kim, and Dinner Mate/Would You Like To Have Dinner Together would make interesting articles too. Perhaps if you have time and you'd ever like to work on one together one day, let me know! Great job!!

I'll definitely watch both. I'm more for the romance so I'll probably prefer RIJ, but maybe some other factors…
Yes SRI does have a decent amount of romance, but it's not as focused on as it is in RIJ! I enjoyed the romance in SRI, so hopefully you'll like it if you watch it! Thank you for reading the article :)

i finished both! imo secret royal inspector was better than secret royal inspector & joy however i love tae soo…
thank you so much, I'm glad that you enjoyed the article! I do agree that I enjoyed secret royal inspector more than secret royal inspector & joy, but I definitely thought the villains of SRI (especially Tae Soo) were more compelling!

Watched and really enjoyed SRI without expecting much...what i liked was the undercover aspect of the job ,funny…
I struggled with SRIJ for the same reason tbh. Like you I loved the undercover aspect of SRI, so I was disappointed that that mostly lacks in SRIJ, but it's still a fun watch if you don't mind historical dramas! Thank you for reading my article :)

My favorite PPL scene has got to be the opening of "because this is my first life" where FL is working as an assistant writer who's whole job is putting product placement in the drama she's working on. It's such hilarious satire of PPL in k-dramas, and even if you don't watch the rest of the drama, those first five or so minutes are ridiculously funny because of it. Great article!
