So far, I'm enjoying this. Production value doesn't look cheap (Snow Eagle Lord lmao) and the leads have great chemistry. It's only 4 eps in, so it's expected that not much has happened yet.
I feel like Xu Kai isn't as popular as others of similar age because of his drama choices. His past 3-4 dramas have been extremely underwhelming imo. Because his recent dramas haven't been successful, viewers/netizens/haters take that as an opportunity to criticize him even if unwarranted. It just takes one successful project to turn things around. Take Dylan and LBFAD, for example. If it's not WOL, I have high expectations for his next 3 upcoming projects, especially since he's starring opposite popular and/or acclaimed female leads. Yang Zi, in particular, is known to bring in a lot of buzz for her male leads.
Pls, I need this to be good! Xu Kai deserves a hit after a string of misses. He has a lot of potential imo but his choices in dramas for the past couple years have been mediocre.
I saw on Twitter that there will be 19 kiss scenes in the drama? Is that true? If yes, that will be a record kiss…
They're professionals and in the acting industry, real life age doesn't matter as long as you look the part and can deliver your role. And even if they were in a relationship (which they're not), the age difference isn't big. They're only 7 years apart. That's not much considering Xu Kai is not young anymore... he's already in his late 20s, pushing 30.
Tbh the "age gap (real life)" tag on here is wierd because if the genders were switched, it likely wouldn't be added.
Ep 17 was so good, especially the kidnapping and HQ's scenes with the bodyguard. I like how RZ is gradually becoming bolder and more talkative around her although I still prefer her chemistry with the Lord. Excited for the confrontation between HQ and ZYL in tomorrow's episode.
There's no need for you to understand because she's just not your type. But she is for a lot of people, it's that…
Then go to a Korean forum and ask them lmao. Anyways, I'm not going to explain it to you since it's obvious by your replies that you are not neutral: "she is the good girl next door type, like Sandra Bullock (that discovered to be fake at the end)" or "international fans...they usually don't have much taste." J100, girl, you ain't fooling anyone. :)
I have never connected to her, I have watched her dramas and songs, for me it's a mistery why she is so popular…
There's no need for you to understand because she's just not your type. But she is for a lot of people, it's that simple. Also, she is popular internationally lol. The proof is here with the fact that she is the #2 most popular (likes) K-actress on this site, second to Park Shin Hye. Not to mention she has 22 million instagram followers and is one of the Top 3 Korean Female Artists on Spotify (global streams) after the girl groups BlackPink and Twice.
Here for Bae Doona and IU (I love them, and their chemistry in Persona made me want more). And, of course, THE Koreeda at the helm automatically makes this a must-watch.
Kim Jae Wook and IU is actually my dream pairing. They would kill it in a healing melodrama or a dark psychological thriller. Even their visuals match, like they both remind me of beautiful vampires lol. Park Bo Young and Park Bo Gum is another pairing I really want to see!! A fluffy rom-com with these two would be a nation's hit for sure.
I love this kdrama very much especially iu's character jang man wol. She is strong, smart, immortal yet she is…
Agree! Even if the story goes downhilI later on, I would still finish this drama for the gender reversals. Seen way too many dominant/interesting male leads and helpless, poorly-written female leads in romcom k-dramas.
Excited for tonight's episode! Tbh I wasn't really feeling this drama until around Ep 5. Sometimes the pacing is bit too slow, but I assume this is the Hong Sisters trying to make up for their past mistakes concerning this. Hopefully this means a well-written (or at least decent lol) approaching 2nd half and ending, which is normally where they mess up.
It's a slow-burn. Their relationship has been building gradually, which I personally like. If you're looking for a "sizzling" chemistry, you won't find it here, at this point.
They've only started truly caring for each other (although not yet romantically from Chansung's side), this past episode.
The first 2 episodes got me hooked! I really adore the way they humanize the ghost clients in this drama, how…
Same! I'm really excited for when we get to the individual stories of the ghost clientele and how the staff are going to help them move on to the afterlife with peace of mind.
People's view towards IU's acting is often polarized, and I'm trying to understand why. She's the type that has…
I agree with everything. I personally enjoy her more nuanced, subtle acting. For this particular character, she's supposed to be tsundere and mysterious, so the cold/aloof expressions are appropriate. Of course, as the drama progresses, she's going to openly express her emotions and lose that "idgaf about anything" attitude as she grows to love Chansung. I just hope they don't ruin her character or turn her into a complete damsel in distress as the Hong Sisters do with some of their heroines.
Went in with low expectations (Hong Sis), but I loved the first episode. Cinematography is absolutely gorgeous. I just want to shout out to Director Oh Choong Hwan and Digital Idea (CG), The visuals were spot on. IU is surprising me more and more with her projects post-My Mister. Love her. She's really found her groove and if everything stays consistent, this may be one of the iconic characters in K-dramaland. YJG was wonderful too. He portrayed the innocence/naivete (despite stellar academic credentials) of his character really well. PLEASE Hong Sis, let's keep the writing good until the very end, I beg.
Wait, is the tomb of the sea before or after the lost tomb 3? I thought it was the lost tomb 3 then tomb of the…
I have no idea. :( I thought the same as you, but then I read a comment under Tomb of the Sea saying that the ending was setting us up for the Lost Tomb 3, so now I'm confused lol.
