I guess I was somehow traumatized by some of the dramas I "accidentally" watched without knowing it had sad endings; Autumn in my heart, Tree of Heaven, I'm sorry I love you, One Day (2011 film), etc,... I believed I already watched 1 Litre of Tears too but it must be too painful for me so I unconsciously erased everything about this drama from my head somehow... It took me a long time to recover after each drama. Even now, when I'm thinking back I can still feel the heartache at the time. So, for almost a decade, I strictly limited myself to dramas with happy endings (open endings with hints of happiness are ok too). It can be romcom or melodrama, and I can cry my eye out throughout 30-40 episodes but I have to get that happy ending at the end. I know I missed out many beautiful dramas because of that. It's only recently that I feel like I can handle sad endings a bit better and there are more dramas with sad endings in my plan-to-watch list. Although I still have to be well prepared before starting it (lol). Age and life experience definitely play a huge part in theses changes, at least for me. Talking about The Journey of Flower, I would not categorize its ending as "sad" because, for me, the whole story is sad & bitter from the beginning to the end (but I still enjoyed it very much). So, that ending can be considered "happy" and "satisfying" enough for me ^^
This drama had been on my on-hold list for years and I just got enough time and will to finish it recently LOL After I got pass episode 10th, it's easier to finish it, by skipping around a lot of course. To summarize, this drama is a story full of bad people doing bad things all the time. It's really distressing to watch a nice couple get bullied throughout 55 episodes. It's truly a waste of Hawick & Li Ying's talent.
Bai He's biological mother is even more detestable than her evil mother-in-law. There're scenes of her feeling bad about he doing bad things as per Ning Xia's instructions, but she is just so weak & useless and continue doing it anyway... I may sound mean, but she doesn't deserve the acknowledgement and care from her daughters, even at the last moment of her life. Both daughters are clearly better off without her. She really shouldn't come back and tarnish their life.
Wallace's character in this one is really cute. Li Jing is the "purest" ML from all period dramas I've ever seen...
I swear I wouldn't get angry even one bit if the leads didn't end up together. The last few episodes made me feel that Hong Fu didn't deserve Li Jing's love and devotion. Either I didn't watch it carefully or I got confused at some points , or Hong Fu is really one confused girl... how can she say she loves the other guy and also loves Li Jing not even 1 minute later. I really can't understand her. At this point, their deep love and all they went through together don't matter to me anymore... I just wish Li Jing would leave her for good and meet a nicer girl.
I only watched up to ep21 (I'm waiting for the subtitles so I can finish it in one go) and up to this point, she hasn't done that many bad things (not the degree of most antagonists). But I see from the intro & outtro that she will get worst in later episodes.
Is this drama dubbed or it's their real voices ? Never watch Dilraba's work and it's been awhile since I last watched Johny in anything, so I'm not sure.
I get that ZF's mom wants her to get married but it got really annoying seeing her talk about that every scene…
It's really sad to watch. The girl just fell out of love with her cheating long-term boyfriend and she has so many problems with her business. It'd be better if her mom was more understanding... Let the girl breath a bit.
I really like the plot but the narrative could have been much much better... It's really suffocating to watch Su Yun Jin. I don't like how she treats Cheng Zheng and how she handles their relationship. It's understandable why she feels inferior because of their different background and tries to stay away from him the first time. But once she decides to get together with him, she should try to be stronger and communicate more with him. She only does things based on her own thinking & feelings, and never really consider his feelings at all. Despite everything, it's Cheng Zheng who goes look for her with a smile on his face every time (even in that deleted ending scene). I think he deserves so much better!
I liked her since she played young Praophirat in Keu Hat Ta Krong Pi Pob. She was totally adorable there. I think I watched more than 95% of her lakorns ever since she grew up. Her acting still has room for improvement and some of her characters can be somehow annoying. But I just love watching her onscreen as female lead... there're something that makes you want to root for her character. Plus, she can cries so beautifully.
Now that she already left Ch7, there goes my hope of her reunion with Weir in another lakorn (Petch Tud Petch is not satisfying at all).
Heping crying in ep36 has got to be one of my favorite scenes in this drama. I really feel hurt for him. I think Song Weilong did great in that Heping-Nansheng scene around the end of ep40. The looks in his eyes really show the expressions of a boy who is in love, a little shy, but happy and hopeful... Heping & Nansheng's love story is beautiful and sweet. I like how Heping felt very protective of her and how he tried to be a man and be responsible of his mom and Nansheng. It's sad that their relationship "ended" that way... Seeing that his mom's still around (thank god), I wholeheartedly want a happy ending so that Nansheng/Qiaoman, Heping and his mom can be that lovely family again.
Talking about The Journey of Flower, I would not categorize its ending as "sad" because, for me, the whole story is sad & bitter from the beginning to the end (but I still enjoyed it very much). So, that ending can be considered "happy" and "satisfying" enough for me ^^
I like Kevin Yan's acting and he looks sooooo good in suits!

Sadly, there is no English subtitles.
