It was a good start to this drama but the subtitles are so bad and they speak too fast for me to translate in real time so I will have to go onto something else.

The movie was a lot of fun until they hurt the whale at which point I wanted to turn it off.

The camera work is something to watch out for. Very interesting. Austin and Nikki were really good in this, plenty of character development.

Oh well, I expect we'll see it some day some where. Sigh.

This show is absolutely bonkers, but delicious and such fun at the same time. I enjoyed it.

I saw the film. The listing here says 1hr 30min when it's actually 2hr 08min. If you like action movies this is the film for you. Personally, I thought it was too violent. There wasn't a character I could warm up to. Sad to hear about Benny Chan.

I thought this was pretty watchable, not a masterpiece but something to watch to pass the time as long as you don't take it too seriously. Not sure the press behave that way in China, as outlined in the film.

I agree, the movie was really good. There was no good or bad side of either South or North Korea, it represented both sides very well. It reminded me of that moment during World War 1, in 1914, when a small group of British and German soldiers put down their weapons to celebrate Christmas, although briefly, in peace. It was an incredibly powerful and emotional party of the movie.

I watched the movie, and can break it down as follows: 1. Cast - blimey, everybody who is anybody is in it, pretty impressive, maybe many agreed to do it as they knew it would be a historical piece watched time and time again. 2. Cinematography - pretty good, they may have touched up some old news footage and created some more in post-production. The car chase was good. 3. Politics - seen it before in other films, nothing new, wasn't sure who a lot of the characters were and what role they had back in that era and I don't have time to research. I don't regret seeing it but wouldn't rate it highly as the content was dry and there were cheesy bits at the end that almost made me upchuck my dessert.

I can't believe I actually watched this from start to end.

The action scenes were pretty well-executed, definitely on-the-edge-of-your-seat scenarios. However, the script wasn't great and the continuity was all over the place. Pleased I watched it though.

We are watching Guardian and was just looking at what other productions Johnny Bai had been in, came across this. We thought it was very good. It's definitely worth the time and although I don't take to motivational messaging that well it was presented with a twist I guess.

Watched the first episode but didn't really take to it at all. I didn't realize Mao Zedong was that tall, evidently 5'11". Some of the editing looked a little odd, especially in the closing titles. The translation didn't include names of the people that were popping up so a lot of it was lost on me, some we could guess, others not.
