Those who watched this in their teenage years know how precious this movie is. We all had that phase where we wanted our crushes to like us back. And we definitely cried at Nam's confession. I was 10 years old when I first watched this and I've rewatched it a lot of times growing up. It is indeed cringy and shallow, but that's literally because the movie is about kids. They're innocent, cheesy and wholesome. I'm 20 and I still go back to this movie whenever I need something relieving. It's not the best or most logical story, but that is its charm. It's meant to be relatable and flawed. 11/10 from someone who grew up watching this.

Not sure if you've watched it already, but there's really no major love triangle scenes! It's not the main focus, but the second lead is definitely around all the time since they're in the same circle of friends. The love triangle here wasn't annoying or pushy and the female lead sure knows what she want so I think it's good.
This was so cute! Lan Tianye is one of the non-problematic male leads I've encountered (along with Love O2O's Xiao Nai and When We Were Young's Hua Biao). Lan Tianye may be portrayed as a troublemaker at first, but believe me, he's so much better than other male characters out there!
