The trailer looks good tho I'm not a xianxia person nothing has ever impressed me except LBFAD and L&R . But I'm gonna watch it for leads 🤧 Zhang linghe really impressed me in The princess royal. I liked him SOKP but he is Stellar in TPR and Jiang Tan is a queen. Hopefully it's good.
Tomorrow's preview looks even more interesting dammnn. If they deliver last 10 episodes i think this drama will be a perfect binge watch. Which is a little slow in some parts but it really is character driven .

I really need to put it here Zhang linghe and zhao jinmai are really living the characters . The acting is top notch. The drama is slow in a lot of parts it's more character driven than plot driven yet they have managed to keep me intrigued. I love their banters and their love . I wish SRQ wasn't given more importance here in last few episodes but anyways a 40 episode drama can definitely have issues. Plus I love palace politics like this.

The whole scene if we look from our perspective it is wrong. From pei wen xuan perspective it was definitely wrong but the whole build up with agitation and anger he had with Li rong's words it did hurt him and it was a reaction though not gonna justify it but he apologized as soon as he saw her in pain. Honestly it was toxic but it wasn't just a plot device here it was more than that . It was the breakdown of two people who were bearing the pain of 20 years. The scene was beautifully potrayed
I loved episodes 25- 26 a lot 😭 these are definitely the best ones so far. Loved the boat scene too. It was beautifully potrayed. First time they had an open heart to heart conversation. The letters part was so beautiful too . Old pei wen xuan giving some sense to current version was done well.It was true to the novel.
P.S people having issue with boat kissing scene is justified. How anyone takes it is their personal opinion. It's a conflicted scene.
The way the director tried so much so people feel pity towards SRQ like no one is going to feel sympathy over that guy cut the crap . The lead treatment this character is getting. In novel pei weixian's character has so much depth he wanted to give justice to poor but they literally decided to remove it. Why ruin it with your second lead obsession.
Just saw the trailer of 25- 26 it's gonna be heartbreaking but i finally see them working together to thrash SRQ . It's gonna be more interesting now. People getting pissed and dropping it is understandable the way they're still focusing on SML so much is getting irritating. Anyways we gonna get great scenes.

Yes wen xuan will teach her to make dumplings and while doing that they would share a kiss initiated by the princess that's why it was so important to their relationship.
It is , the focus on SML is too much i think there's more to explore about PWX but they waste it with glorifying SML and trying to make people sympathize with him. No one is gonna do that
I kind of skipped almost all scenes of SRQ today damn 😭 i read yesterday about the dumpling scene i thought we would get that but instead they gave so much ss to the character everyone is annoyed of..like saw the post on twitter how they changed it. A lot of people said in Novel SRQ 's character wasn't that glorified that's being done in the drama. Someone below commented the exact thing SRQ who is actually a villain is so annoying to watch on screen whereas if his character was better written ,a more layered personality everyone would have loved to see it. Princess should now stand up to him and call him out for his behaviour.
