I do think it depends on the director yeah. I don't know if the actors have a say in it, but if I was an actor I would definitely prefer MY VOICE WITH MY FACE😠If time plays a role, then I find that to be a weak reason as well tbh. I mean it's part of the job, if they make the actors film something, surely there's time to do voice acting for their role as well... I don't think ANY fan likes voice actors dubbing their fav, everyone prefers their original voice. We all celebrate when we see them having their actual voice 🤣

Idk about SWL but JJY had her own voice in VOS. The director of VOS always uses original voices and no voice actors... Otherwise it's pretty rare in Cdramas for actors to use their own voices.
The reason is that voice acting is also not an easy thing, some actors/actresses are not good at it(?) which is normal so they use professional voice actors. But I also don't like it cuz many have proven already that they CAN do good voice acting on their own.
