That's the thing that makes it different! I have never seen any Asian Drama where the main lead dies exactly halfway in Drama. But she is like a game-changer in this show and the whole story, her death was pretty reasonable when you understand and move towards the later episodes. It's just so intriguing to watch after the 7th episode. The last quarter is just like the chef's kiss, especially the last 2 episodes.

This is a drama. So, you only see what the production wants. Cause it's possible that KHS killed HGH, but they never showed that or they might reveal all the truth in the last episode. Also, it's not a new thing in the k-drama world where the ending is different than we thought of! Just like "Happiness".
The romance is close to null but you can get a nice bromance and overall it's a fun watch. So, you should give it a try. If you solely want to watch romance and thriller then this is not the drama you are looking for.
Love Alarm 2 isn't fit for this list cause "Song Kang" was a rich guy but "Jung Ga Ram" was not rich. It's just that the "Song Kang" family in the drama cares for "Jung Ga Ram". So, they were pretty close and were like brothers.
