Your own interpretation of the drama is not “evidence” so stop calling it that.

Your evidence is literally your own little delusional mental cartwheel interpretation of random ass scenes. To a delusional person, the sky’s the limit on the random meanings they can attach to random scenes.

Anyone can put any meaning in any random little meaningless scene if they’re delusional enough.

That's a pretty black and white way of looking at it. Context and intentions are important. She wasn't someone he "barely knew." By that point it was pretty obvious he already saw her as a little sister too. Like, come on, on their next meeting after that he was buying her pads with Sang Yan because she got suddenly got her period. She's not some stranger. Even their very first meeting the ice was broken pretty quickly because the Sang siblings were comfortable enough to fight right in front of him and he joked around with them in turn. She was comfortable enough with him to ask him for help with school trouble and that definitely broke the ice further. He helped her out. Now she got another school trouble, he helped her out again. His intentions are clear and nothing inappropriate happened. He's her brother's best friend and her parents know him to be a good kid. Helping her hide an unfinished homework from her brother by meeting up, finishing the assignment and parting ways is hardly concerning.

Like I get it if it's something that crosses your own personal boundary. What I'm mainly arguing against is your reducing it to an adult meeting a minor, removing all context and intentions and deliberately painting a bad picture of it. No people didn't ignore it because it's fiction. People ignore it because it's not suspicious in nature, without stripping it out of context.

Okay I looked it up just now and rewatched, and it definitely wasn't intended that way. Sang Yan knew one of them left something with another, and he let them talk instead of mediating and offering to hand over whatever it was to whoever misplaced it. That means he's aware they probably made their own arrangement to solve the problem and he didn't interfere. The whole scenario is pretty reminiscent of Jiaxu helping her out years ago when she got in trouble in school and didn't want Sang Yan to find out because he might tattle on her and she def didn't want her parents to find out. In fact Jiaxu's FIRST instinct when she told him she left her workbook in his place was to let Sang Yan hand it over to her. He said okay I'll tell your brother to give it to you. It's only when she confided that she hadn't done her assignment yet and didn't want to tell Sang Yan and ask him to bring it earlier so she can finish it because he might "break her leg." That's only when Jiaxu once again agreed to help her avoid trouble. He treats her like a little sister, like okay fine I'll help you so you don't get in trouble, but make sure not to do it again next time. He helped her finish her assignment, then separated ways. It was all entirely innocent and wholesome. You said there was no reason for that to happen but I think it was pretty clear there was no? It would be weird if his intentions were unclear but they were laid out pretty well and imo overall the situation was handled well.

The drama starting off immediately to her in college and meeting him after a long time made him look so sleazy lol. The way he smirks at her gave me the creeps. It's either bad acting or bad direction.

Nothing indicated it was supposed to be some little secret rendezvous. I think you're reading too much into it. Her brother already knew she left her thing in Jiaxu's desk and let them talk themselves, as viewers we don't need it to be spelled out specifically that he knows Jiaxu and Sangzhi will have to meet one way or another for the assignment. It was very obvious in the show how much and how quickly he trusted his friends around his little sister.

It's a childhood crush that later matured into a real thing. It's not that deep. It was based on the novel author's real life experience of having a crush on her older brother's friend, but she didn't get her happy ending. What are you even talking about

Yeah lol it's a childhood crush that came true not sure what that user was talking about. It's really not that deep. She didn't act clueless or like a child when she got her period, she just simply wasn't prepared for it like didn't have extra clothes or pads but it's not like that was her first time. She was just embarrassed.

So like a Thai BL take at What's Wrong With Secretary Kim except the boss has no redeeming quality other than his looks. Also just horrible writing overall. Tell me why they have like 10 restaurant meals in 1 episode. Was that necessary? The writer couldn't think of any other place where the characters can interact? I thought maybe this might be one of those shows where it picks up on later episodes but seeing the reviews I don't think I'll be missing out on anything by skipping on this show.

Yes I think that's what's going on. I gather his snakes are probably very expensive breeds so it's easier to track them in the market. I doubt all of them are legal either lol. I was confused with Suo Wei's snake business and what he was trying to achieve but I guess the simplest explanation is he wanted to get into snakes to have something in common with Chi Cheng as part of his plan.

Title Cherry Magic Spoiler
Karan was giving so much and Achi's giving nothing, and I get he's supposed to be this extremely insecure guy who's actually admirable because he does all these silent acts of service but aside from Karan's little flashbacks from his pov of why he liked Achi, it didn't really feel that way. A very hard sell especially with how that whole episode 8 played out. The way he reacted to Karan kneeling to apologize before someone who traumatized him gave NOTHING. I just found Achi's character so unlikable the more I watched and it stayed that way until the end.

In the end I don't believe Achi was able to match everything Karan gave and felt in the relationship, and I don't know if the acting is partly to blame but the bad writing 100% is.

Also, too much screentime for the side couple that I don't really care about. The whole show is extremely cheesy and feel good and I would've enjoyed it and rode the cringe if Achi was just a little bit more likable as a character.

Review Cherry Magic
Your comment on episode 8 was spot on. While watching I already found Achi unlikable but then ep 8 happened and I just got straight up mad and hated his character. Seriously wtf was that. I feel bad thinking it but at that point there was no helping it he just looked like a straight up loser.
