In Korean dramas, male lead characters are typecast and have no variable. They are basically like human robot with certain functions. Most of the time They are cheerleader for female characters. Female characters have more depth and story.

Tbh it had nice plot. Undercover agent going to school in search of a gold. First 4 episodes were quite promising. Going forward I expected smart writing but it went of the track. They should have focused more on him solving gold mystery with sight romance. The way they build up gold mystery with 4 back stories, actually it was nice addition to the story. They should taken lead from there. Rather they completely lost plot midway.

This is turning out to be another when the phone rings, started on high note but slowly loosing grip.

What a gem of character sang yan has! Even in his most fragile moment, all he could do is think about Yifan. That's the difference Sang Yan & Yifan.

I feel for sang yan. Drama portraits lot about Yifan struggles. It completely ignores Sang yans struggle. Obviously you can't compare what Yifan went through with sangyan.
He went through worst possible heart break, blamed himself for years, even waited for her. When she finally came back, he did everything to get back with her. Despite that Yifan left him again without any explanation. Making his fears come true. And after all this, he can't complain because all he can do is to care about Yifan feelings. I hope Yifan understands him the way he did and put some efforts to makes him secure about their relationship.

My sister was sexually assaulted in school. She didn't tell that to anyone for 10 years. She couldn't trust any man after that. She couldn't trust even me (her brother). I also really hope that she goes back to nanwu herself, not sang yan comes to take her. That would be really positive message that she can face her problem head on.

Sang yan has no character growth. He is still stuck at high school. His whole life story is about wen yifan. I blame writer for not giving his character enough space. There is not space for his side story at all. He has no ambition in his life. Even he works because wen yifan likes it. Why do writers need make male lead character good for nothing pushover Whose life is nothing but to follow female lead. It's very irritating.

He doesn't look like 31 and she doesn't look like 35. It would have been better if they played their real age. That would more believable.
