I understand your point of view . My complain about her ex wasn't about what he said but how he reacted when she was emotionally weak. It is true that he had been a good boyfriend to her and he had taken care of her when she had surgery and chemo , but he didn't put himself in her shoes . She was living as if everyday was her last day , she needed him to pull her out of her emotional breakdown by taking her to psychologist and to make her days worth living . However, he felt that this burden was bigger than his energy and it's normal because he's human . He didn't want to end up being depressed also and it's normal , but at the end , he showed that he wasn't the right person for her and break up would be the best for them . I know that we can't blame someone who prioritizes his peace of mind and he isn't saint , we all agree that he is just a human .That's why FL understood his reaction and that's why the EX is just guest character and ML is who she wants and who she needs .

It is really a waste of time and It was about the stupid conspiracies and the suffer of emperor' women. The emperor was a shameless , without personality and self-centered person . The romance was the last thing to talk about in this show and the bad people weren't punished .
Until the moment ,I don't see any love between 2nd couple , he was forced to marry her and he had no choice . The beginning of their relationship was bad , because it would have been better to have the free will to love someone even you know it wouldn't end up like fairy tales . FL was a victim of family abuse and she has a brother to relay on her so it's hard for her to resist the harsh reality and to act like a teenager who believes in fairy tale . ML is doing his best for his love because he believes that FL isn't playing with him , but she is struggling to accept being in love with someone out of her league . FL knows that she wouldn't have the family that she wants with that kind of manipulative mother-in-law . I like ML because he is pure and he is doing everything for FL and I like that his brother is love supporter and strategist . FL needs to be easy on herself and to accept the fact that she can relay on ML .
After watching ep 8, I released that FL loved her ex so much because he knows everything about her unlike her family and so called best friends . I feel that her childhood friends have been just acquaintance through mothers , I haven't felt neither the warmth , nor closeness of their friendship . I kind of understand that she was addicted to studying and being the best in her job , which led her to being lonely and reserved . I don't think she is ready for romance unless she is ready to open up .

I don't get it , also . Her personality is kind of complicated and she keeps staff from her loved ones .I think she went through a major trauma bigger than cheating , I believe she needs to go to therapist like in drama doctor slump . Her family is really neither helping or nor understanding , because imagine a family member or friend coming back home after years of leaving abroad and that person isn't opening up about the reason behind two major decisions , normally you would try to cheer him/her up and you would help him/ her by talking to him/her or by taking him/her to therapist. From what I have watched , the FL needs psychological help and family support instead of forcing her into love square .
I really don't understand why FL didn't divorce ML for cheating , because I think he can't ask for property division in case of cheating or domestic abuse . It is normal to see the female lead insecurity because of her parents trauma ,which made her grow up to be more independent . She didn't have anyone to relay on ,and she dreamed of a simple happy love life but she ended up in a complicated one with rich younger guy .
