Also, idk why some people are arguing over lack of episodes? 16 episodes with each episode being around 1hr 15mins long is a NORM in kdramas. Meanwhile cdramas have over 30+ episodes in general. Both industries have different ways of presenting a show. It's not like they can drag kdramas to 40 episodes like the OG 🤡 they can cut out unnecessary portions and storylines in the korean version which is rather good. And if you really want 40 episodes, just go rewatch go ahead 💁🏻♀️ Again a reminder that a remake cannot ruin an original. If you're so worried, just don't watch the remake and let people who wanna enjoy it..be in peace.
It's really sad to see some people making unnecessary comparisons here and the drama hasn't even aired yet. I love the cdrama overall but I wouldn't lie about how they lacked in certain parts and the story felt little draggy after the time skip. I think we should accept the flaws from the original before questioning the remake. Both dramas would have their own uniqueness and story. Another point is that please do not compare the performance of cdrama actors with kdrama actors. They have their own charm. Just because you're biased to actors from the OG, doesn't mean you'll demean the actors in the remake. I'd suggest you to watch their previous dramas before speaking nonsense. And if you don't like them, simply don't watch the remake. Remake could never ruin the original, use your brains 💀
Talking about the kdrama casting, I believe it's perfect!! If you've watched jung chaeyeon's previous dramas you'd know she fits the bubbly personality girl role so well~ the first drama I watched of hers was "my first first love" and she was amazing despite being an idol. Her performance in "King's affection" truly made me believe she's really talented even though she had less screentime. Hwang inyeop would definitely add so much more depth and charm to kim sanha's role, that's his forte. His acting skills never disappoints. The sound of magic was the first drama I watched of his and I was even more amazed later when I watched "true beauty". His duality is insane. Bae hyunsung is such a cutie, he won my heart in "our blues" and "hospital playlist" with his performance. I definitely trust him with kang haejoon. Speaking of the trio casting, their chemistry would be so good and we can already feel the home-y vibes from the stillcuts. Director knew what he was doing by casting them so people need to stop acting like they're casting directors lol. And ofcourse, the dad's casting is ON POINT ACCURATE. Can't wait to see them all together <3
