Loved this drama, I was very badly bullied in middle school and my homeroom teacher (just like in this drama weirdly enough) ignored it and blamed me, even my friends ignored me, I was completely isolated. I developed severe social anxiety and became very introverted. I was ignored, blamed and never got a single bit of justice. Thankfully over the years I’ve seen therapists and gotten mentally healthier. Watching this made me cry so much, I really loved how the drama was executed. Sorry for trauma dumping lol
Rich people do illegal stuff all the time. It sounds like PMY was unknowingly dragged into it. If they investigated…
“Rich people do illegal stuff all the time” no they don’t💀 you’ve clearly never met a wealthy person in your life, not every rich person does illegal shit, my family’s fairly wealthy they have never done anything illegal neither have my friends who are wealthy. You’re world view of rich people seems to be one created through kdramas and fantasy…
To me its like they are giving us the impression (intentionally or not) that most fashion designers are gay.is-it…
No definitely not. S Korea is just a very conservative country and a lot of people there are very uneducated about the lgbtq community sadly. The younger generation is more open tho and there has been more acceptance recently, not a lot but some.
I usually dont watch more serious kdramas, I tend to lean more towards romance but this was one of my favourites. My moms a lawyer so it was interesting for me to discuss some of the cases that happened in this drama and overall really enjoyed it, it was human and showed us something not discussed a lot which is juvenile courts, so hearing that it’s been cancelled for a second season is very sad to hear. But I’m not surprised this is just what Netflix does, cancels good shows, tho I didn’t expect it to reach kdramas already.
Idk, I get the memory loss and all, but still... Changing strong/warrior Naksu into girl that always pouts, falls…
I agree, tho I don’t think that her behaviour was cringe and weird but I do think it was disappointing, felt like they took away everything that made naksu naksu. You can’t develop a character for 20 episodes and then completely change it at the end, I understand she was supposed to have forgotten her memories but even at the end when she remembered she didn’t feel like naksu, the fl who appears cold and distant but I actually someone who is very kind on the inside even after being hurt by so many people. Also felt like they threw her storyline out the window and only focused on buyeons powers. This has nothing to do with the actresses I thought that both did a great job but the writing was just not that great at the end.
So they didn't go anywhere with that potential lesbian ship then? That was such a abrupt scene so I'm not surprised…
As a bi woman I'm happy it was added even tho it’s sort of queer-baiting its new for kdramas and it at least means they’re acknowledging queer relationships, we just recently had a gay character that wasn’t there for comedic relief in love in contract which is very new for kdramas and it shows we’re taking a step forward in the acceptance of the lgbt community in sk, we also had the first ever gay dating show and we can’t forget semantic error which was the first Korean BL to reach such a wide audience and to win multiple big awards
