in my opinion, it's historical drama based on past events, therefore there has to be some link to all the cases they've solved and the people they were against from the beginning. That's why, political issues and stuff has to be involved.

give it a try, and you can decide. It's honestly one of those drama where it fall under each person's preferences, for me, some part was too long and cringey that i couldn't watch it any longer.

I think this drama would be much better if things were to cut short, 42 episodes was a bit much with this little storyline.

What i mean by that is after a few first episode. You can see the development in Lu Yi’s behaviour, he’s more caring and stuff. Meaning like the audience can noticed they already liked each other. He will confessed to her by episode 35-36. That’s when they start dating.

P.s. i'm actually really sad that this drama ended, so i keep coming back to this page.
