I think it's because of her poor mental health, she cannot make right decisions because of her past trauma and even her sleepwalking is a clear sign of trauma. You saw how she went and faught her family after knowing that her jerk of an uncle accused Sang Yan's bar of improper food standards and wanted to flip his life over as well. She clearly didn't want Sang Yan to suffer because of her family members and decided that it would be the best to leave him. She doesn't know how to communicate because every time she tried to communicate in her past with her mom or anyone else she was always shut down and no one believed her even when she told that she was about to get r*ped by her uncle. Since she's been going through it all by herself all these years, she doesn't want anyone else to worry about all the things she's been going through and wanted Sang Yan to be happy and not worry about her.
