You DO realize that even in C-dramas they use & take inspiration from Mongolian & non-Chinese ethnic minorities…
I do watch a lot c-dramas, first of all, I enjoy them just as much as I do k-dramas, before you make an assumption about me, a stranger online.
And secondly, with one quick check on your profile I can see you're one of the trolls who didn't even watch this drama, "0/20" and rated it a one. You are literally what is wrong with this website, people downvoting dramas out of spite instead of worrying about shows they actually like & enjoy watching. Also, you still didn't acknowledge the other c-drama's that do use ethnic minorities costumes and cultures without crediting them. C-drama's have a complex censorship that is constantly changing, I understand this. However it is hypocritical of you to sit in these comments and act as though it is a perfect industry that never steals anything from any other culture. And in the case of this drama, there was nothing stolen. Stay very bitter and mad.
I’m a fan of c-dramas & kdramas. But to continuously come here and make accusations after accusations repeatedly…
Exactly, I am a fan and I watch both as well. But you're absolutely right, it is so hypocritical of them to act as though their favorite actors and actresses have never dressed in costumes blatantly inspired by those traditional attires, and yet the source of where said inspiration comes from is never credited due to censors and bans. They'd rather just camp in these comments accuse this drama of CA. Yet those drama's with their fictional tribe names get free passes from them. Plenty of c-drama's create fictional worlds and tribes in order to use those cultures costumes and traditions.
it's so strange to see how people can't seem to separate asia from the way they view things in a completely westernized light. like how are you going to accuse this drama of 'cultural appropriation' when korea was invaded by china more than once. like you look so goofy saying that. it just saddens me to see people bombing the ratings of this drama for literally what? anyways, crack open a history book.
Rapist is slightly harsh word, I think. As far as I know, he did not truly rape anyone (he got some girl to have…
she was 17 actually, but go off. also--age of consent doesn't make it okay the fuck, if a grown ass man sleeps with a 13 yr old he is a pedo. what are you, exposing yourself out here? sicko

do you lack reading comprehension skills or something? not to mention several reports suggest she was a sex trafficking victim too. you must not understand the concept of consent nor can we all honestly think that a MINOR was consenting in that kind of situation where he’s holding something powerful over her. anyway, his scumbag ass should still be blacklisted.

literally what do you get out of lying for this man, right on his wikipedia page it even says “with the promise of starring the girl in a movie in 2002” meaning he promised said minor something in return for sex, which is coercion, a form of rape. not to mention statutory rape is a thing—it takes one google search of mine to figure these things out.
I agree, I was excited to see this version because I didn't have to wait a million years to see Raphael with Jane/…
exactly, i had anticipated this drama as well, just for it to end this way. like did the writer see the original and create her own ending or what? i know not every adaption has to be faithful but, this is such a letdown.
the rating 😭 y’all are mad huh? to anyone curious, don’t worry about the rating. just try the drama for yourself ❤️ people on mdl will be bitter af no matter what
