I don't understand why my opinion upsets you so much. He is a rapey person because he sexually assaulted him, which is literally what the defintion of "rapey" means. What part of my comment was factually incorrect?
I've watched all the other history series, and this one was the shittiest one out there (so obviously they can do a better job). I've seen a lot of great bls who don't need a sexually aggressive lead to deliver a fantastic plot. Normalising plot lines where certain men behave like animals, and have the other lead fall for them regardless of their past behaviour, and then portray all of that as "romantic" is disgusting to me. It's also a valid concern within the bl community, why does one lead have to force themselves onto the other for there to ever be any romantic relationship? There was literally nothing else he could've done to win Yi Chen back? Cause if that's the case then the screenwriters could've done a better job making him seem obsessive without having him fly off the handle like that. Sexual assault in bls is overdone, and I don't think there's a problem in me critizising a fictional characters behaviour I'm not a fan of
That's what rapey means. The fact that he sexually assaulted him and was willing to go further makes him a rapey person lol. And I feel like they could've expressed that obsessive part of the plot without having to cross unnecessary and gross boundaries
