I agree, MLs I watched this for them having seen them in other dramas. but they honestly felt more like really good friends than lovers. Their kiss scenes were so awkward and did not look good on camera. I had to skip them I felt so uncomfortable.
Also why do a lot of shows show how cool and independent the FL is (like how she apprehended the bag snatcher) and after that she was completely helpless? I felt like their characters completely became different people somewhere in the middle.
Agree that the SLs were soooo boring, always skipped through. a first half of this was waaay better.
I just learned more about how committed and dedicated Jae Wook was for Alchemy of Souls. He approached to AOS…
wow how did you find out about all this info? I was wondering why he was only doing guest roles for a bit and wondered about what would happen after Dodosolsollalasol tanked. When you said he HAD to leave his former agency, what do you mean? like in order to do AOS? Or just cos his contract finished up?
Ugh, what a terrible way to end this drama that I enjoyed up until they both completely disintegrated into highly disfunctional, unprofessional, acting like immature gits "adults". There was one point FL mutters to herself something along the lines of "maybe I should therapy?" (or did I dream it?) and I'm screaming to the screen, "YESSSS!! You absolutely need to work through your trauma! and stop taking it out on other people!!"
It was so jarring and unpleasant to see these two characters act this way. It made no sense and the way they did it at work, making all of their staff uncomfortable, walk on egg shells around them. Honestly, pathetic and not how the previous 11.5 episodes showed their relationship or them as individual characters. Yesuul from the Webtoon is by far superior.
watching this in 2022 is a real special treat. Esp since I was born and bred in Melbourne so seeing these crazy cats spending all that time in Melbourne and Victoria is just so surreal and utterly hilarious! The 10 episodes just flewwwww. I hope Junho still thinks living somewhere like Melbourne when he is older is a good idea :P haha
Ending spoiler Honestly, many in the comment section ask why this drama is so underrated and for most of it, I…
I just finished this drama and I have to agree wholeheartedly. It was such a poor message about disabilities. I did enjoy the majority of the drama but omg what a shit show at the end. I even suspect that that very last scene that wasn't even Lee Je Hoon given they never showed his face.
FINALLY HE'S BACK!!! But a web drama... Let's see how this turns out.
i am so so so happy that he is back doing stuff but I am anxious why it is a short webdrama and not something bigger? It has been a while since he has acted in something. I hope things are ok!
I was literally hanging on what he was about to say, that was totally the reason why I gave it a 9.5 too! Haha
I thought the same and then I was like if he does that would have ruined it for me because it just would have been so not the right place to be asking that kind of question. So in the end, i'm glad they left it open and be about him reflecting etc.
This show makes my heart/tummy ache - just something about the ML/FL interactions, it is striking a real chord with me. Making me wonder what past relationship stuff I have had that is making this feel a tad too real. The fact he is so against relationships and love because he doesn't want to end up like his parents. He cares for FL quite a lot and doesn't want to lose what they have for a relationship that he believes won't work. As dickish as he can be, all of it seems to be coming from a place where he can give what little he can. I just find that so heart breaking. But also so frustrating for her too cos as SOOOON as she is like ok I'm DONE, he starts to panic and notice the line she is putting down and he doesn't like it and is asserting himself in a way that just isn't appropriate and yet I feel like I get why he is doing it. But I'm also aching for her too because she is really trying to move on and it's so hard to turn feelings off.
I am really glad that they resolved the drunken phone calls with the CEO by ep 4 and that he wanted to come clean as soon as possible. For a moment I was like Nooo the whole right before confession, the other person finds out before they can tell them card, but they communicated and talked it out. I think it is really nice for Woo Yeon to have the CEO express his interest in him so clearly that I kinda want them to get together too. It's the first time I think I feel so torn between ML/FL getting together (eventually) but also thinking that the SML is better for the FL and she deserves to be treated well.
Ahh just so many feels for me, this show and the way the relationships are set up are making me ache big time. Like end of ep 4, the little epilogue, made me tear up!
I'm back here because i miss everyone and everything about this drama. Is it possible that kim soohyun and seo…
I reckon it is totally possible that it could happen given that Seo Ye Hi joined Kim Soo Hyun's agency - Gold Medalist. and GM were behind putting IONTBO together!
I’ve only created this account to compliment this drama. This drama is not perfect in terms of some slight plot…
omgosh thank you for your comments and review. You hit the nail on the end and I totally feel you when you said you healed right along side the main characters and that when people call it overrated etc it's like they aren't getting this message and the point of the whole drama. I think that's why there are people who are adamant that it is a 10/10 for them.
probably because the people who binge watched it after it aired watched it with too much expectations due to its…
I agree with you that watching this as it was released made me get into the show so much and I even though I wish I could keep watching more, I enjoyed the impatient waiting I had to see the next 2 episodes. I'm a sucker for character development and character interactions and healing so for me this show has risen to the top of all kdramas I have watched and I've watched a lot. The mother plot line was a bit clunky to me too but I didn't want it to over shadow all the love I felt watching the three leads journey.
