I think that's the most interesting part about their scene for me, he hasn't been like this so whose to say he couldn't be violent in the future? At the very least he scared her, so the potential for violent behavior is not zero as his emotions/feelings being rejected*can* escalate into violence- not that they will just the potential is there. I'm not exactly sure why you made it personal, but my comment wasn't intended to be offensive just my take on the scene.
