The "confidence" I was referring to is the way they were able to predict the next action of each other. Remember the time when QM not being a virgin was to be revealed and the countermeasures he made. She's not underestimating her hubby's skill rather anticipating the next move. She has always believed in their love and promise.
Initially I was disappointed in the ending because I wanted more of the "fluffiness" between LY and QY since we have witness the development of the romance and we feel their emotions as portrayed by the actors.
But after thinking it through, I think it was just right.
This is the story of QY her path to living her dreams and happiness in her own terms. The last decision she made owning the death of LY's mother is showing her confidence knowing LY will figure it out eventually.
In a way, she has paved the healing of LY because it would be different if she just kept the secret and they continue to travel as they initially planned.
The scene where they both held up the cuffed hands only shows their love has not diminished and the promise to live well together.
But of course I still want a "fluff ending" or a kiss (sigh) LOL

The ending.... I don't know what to make of it. QY and LY meeting on the same spot where she admitted that she is the girl she saved. I just hope it not that ending or I'll be very disappointed.
