LR is not that confusing tbh but they donāt really explain how the time travel works (you can see people who read the webtoon explaining it on twt etc. ) but nevertheless I hope you like it!! Also I get you on the getting confused with multiple dramas but Iām just so used to it now bc QoT was my weekend drama and then I look forward to LR on Monday Tuesday :)
Yes lovely runner has me giggling and kicking my feet but the miscommunication bc of how the time travel works is so frustrating at times. I wish she traveled back in time and he also did and they could just tell eachother everything they want to say but sighā¦ not possible.
genuinely feel like Eun Snake got more screen time than the leads. I just hate him and his mom as characters I thought they were useless and unnecessary. Literal plot devices but the thing is they were being used much too frequently and the same shit over and over again. I was fed up!!

I hope you eventually get around to watching CLOY bc itās seriously so good and every episode was interesting. Though some people may not enjoy the military aspect I thought it was refreshing. I personally think the way Se Ri and Captain Ri loved each other was just out of this world especially one scene toward the end like ššš itās still so vivid in my mind.
I think the villain and the parasite plot ruined the drama for me but I thought that from the getgo (Iām not just saying it now or trying to hate for āno reasonā) ā¦ I was staying for the main couple bc they were the best thing about the drama. But with that bastard interfering / sabotaging them every 5 minutes and trying to win over Haein it got repetitive and tedious. Plus the constant accidents both of them got in there was a point where I was like so many bad things can happen to two people? Like be so fr. He did not know when to quit and they tried to put in a sad mommy issues sob story which I did not care about one bit. Also Iām lowkey mad Haein forgot the chain he was wearing around her neck was hers all along and she never got it back. Lmfaooo that bastard deserved to die but I also think his death was not brutal enough ššš I needed better justice so on that end I felt somewhat dissatisfied.
The back and forth is just so not worth it to me. I mean in the end I gave this drama a 7.5/10 but really and truly a lot of episodes felt 6/10 or 7/10 for me. So idk Iām not this hater that the person in the above comment is trying to make me out to be just bc I think CLOY is objectively better (despite the views) I also feel like in 2024 way more people watch kdramas than they did in 2019/2020 so that plays a huge part too.

I think itās overrated bc of social media. So many ppl were acting like itās the best drama they ever watched and then when people watch it and realize its not all what it was āhypedā up to be they feel disappointed. Then when they share their opinion about disliking it itās like ppl want to jump them for it as if what theyāre saying isnāt valid. Ppl are allowed to have mixed feelings or feel any way they want about it imo bc the drama is not objectively better than a lot of other dramas and probably wonāt outshine other upcoming dramas either. Also I canāt lie that the writing was cliche / predictable and fell off during the second half. (Once again nobody has to agree with me this just my opinion) Iām not angry just sharing my perspective and why I think CLOY is better + why I think a lot of other ppl say itās overhyped / overrated and felt disappointed after watching bc the writers ruined the storyline. To me CLOY is a kdrama masterpieceā¦ it has gone down as of those dramas that will most likely be talked about forever. I donāt see this happening with QoT. But hey not every drama can be perfect. Lol this is what social media hype does. Imo this drama was overrated. Yes it had it's moments but is it the best drama I ever watched and does it have the most ground breaking plot that I would be a fool to not have ever watched? Absolutely not. The storyline is full of cliches and the drama basically fell off in the second half. I liked CLOY way more personally. I feel like even thought QoT was sad and made you want to cry or shed a few tears... the emotions CLOY brought out of me simply cannot be topped. QoT got annoying fast because of the parasite plot and over exaggerated makjang elements. It wasnāt realistic at all and I feel like a drama like that dealing with family relationships and health issues couldāve been more serious / leaned into the āslice of lifeā aspect more. The acting was good but once again actors cannot be expected to carry the entire drama when the storyline is weak. Imo the best part of QoT was the epilogue scenes bc it gave us more insight into the couple. But overall I think a lot of QoT is forgettable / predictable and I wonāt remember it much as time passes whereas with CLOY years have passed and I still remember everything bc Se Ri and Jung Hyuk were INSANE. Plus the fact that the couple got married irl is just the cherry on top. It really doesnāt get better and more real than that.
Anyway, this is just my opinion and obviously everyoneās different.
Imo it's not better than CLOY as I don't think anything will beat the feeling of watching that drama for the first time. They are totally diff dramas so it depends on your taste ig. I feel like QOT was more cliche, had a lot of unnecessary and repetitive drama and the ending was rushed even though it was happy. Also I would rewatch CLOY in a heartbeat but idt I'd ever rewatch QOT... only the moments I liked which are few and far in between.
