Aside from Em and Name's story, for me this series is all surface and no depth. Everyone is so damn perky. They…
I actually agree so much... this series has definitely showed up how bad of an actor first is.. acting in a mame series where most of the plot is sex centric made it more easy for him to hide behind.. but when he has to really act and emote.. he is falling flat. now that I'm watching the YearBook... both shows feel so eerily similar and it feels like Mean and the team just thought lets make ripoffs of ITSAY slap in the nostalgic 2000's era that is popular right now and it would work... they had the right tools but are falling flat in a lot of departments.
With what we've seen so far, this series deserves a higher rating! The last scene choked me up so much bro. Minus…
every time I'm getting into it even after the heartbreaking last scene when the episode ended then they did all the episode flashbacks and showed the wig and it ruined the whole mood for me lol.
this is reminding me so much of I told Sunset About You. Em and Name are stealing the show for me... to be honest the other characters aren't hitting for me... the show could have been only about them.. that last scene was so heartbreaking.
he already proved it with Yearbook. And he himself said that he is better director than actor, thats why he usually…
has he directed any other shows by himself ? the two things I've seen him listed for other directors were also attached ? usually don't act is a bit of a stretch as he has been acting nonstop in the past 6 years.. even in the shows he's directing
I'm not the biggest fan of Mean as he's directing this but I will give credit where it's due.. it's not on the level of ITSAY yet but it very much seems like that's the direction they are leaning in with this series and I'm very impressed.. the young actors in episode 1 really delivered and I'm really enjoying this show so far. also despite JAFirst being the star pairing here.. once again 2nd lead syndrome is here and Em and Name are stealing the show for me. Might also check out the YearBook where I'm told the actors man and title were the leading pairing in that BL.
Thua and Akk are literally the same person.. doing bad things for what they believe is the right thing... so it was a bit odd to see Thua acting all high and mighty when he's no better than anyone.
Thua really thought he did something ? for someone who was bullied constantly for being ''different'' and for you to out someone to prove a point... doesn't sit right with me.
