I thought the first episode was a mess so I dropped it after that. I saw one DGZ shirtless scene and that was enough for me. You've seen one you've seen them all 🤷
I think I preferred the vertical drama version with Huang bo. I know the ML has his fans but I don't like him as much. The constant open mouth makes him look like a mouth breather.
This was titled Into the Abyss on sereal and it took a lot of digging to find it on MDL. Glad I was able to watch it for free but it was incomprehensible with the bad subtitles.
He has the acting chops to be a great character actor if he is phased out of romantic roles.
I thought all the ageist comments that he was too old for this role on this website was gross. His kissing scenes made everybody swoon and he still showed that he has the body of a Greek statue as seen in his love scene. He should be able to do as many romance as he wants.
I'm going to drop it. Is obvious by now and from the end credits that she's going to marry him again and it's what she deserves.
The first 10 episodes or so were interesting but as others have said it's been repetitive or a holding pattern since and I just don't care anymore. 🙄

This is an inherent flaw in the story. The FL sucks as a person. It worked in the movie because it was short but it doesn't work in the drama. I don't think the drama is even going to address what the FL did in the movie which was backstab The mother and daughter who took her in when nobody else would and stole their restaurant recipe and put them out of business.
In this drama she is a prime example of the old saying that you can have a good voice but that doesn't make you a star.

We're like 60% through the drama now and the real ML has not shown up yet. In my opinion it is now too late this is not a romance.
