The potential is there but it's obvious his character was not well utilized. There's not even a proper arc for his character in that drama. He's just there as a decoration lol. With the crappy plot and script combined, surpassing 18 million in the hot broadcast period was amazing as it was able to overcome the 15 million defense battle.
By the way, the list only includes 2019 and up but Minghao's WWWY from 2018 have 38 million + views/ep.
Also, iQIYI is struggling very badly and I think you'll be shocked to know that FoF performed very well more than the other top traffic stars dramas released last year under iQIYI (no shade to them of course). The FoF Yunhe cumulative average set already surpassed 20.23 million views/ep and it's not easy to get this significant increase so still thankful 🫶🤧.

Yes, there are rumors that he got replaced and it led them to this speculation because the S2 crew wrapped up filming last Jan 2024 and Minghao is still filming in the FoF crew till February 2024.
I am happy that the production crew made arrangements for him to still be Wang Ye as they (crew and actors) made time to go back and specifically film all his scenes in those 3 days after he finished filming FoF.
