The dramas I mentioned underperformed with the high traffic stars, those stars with their high volume of traffic are expected to perform above average but they didn't so it's commendable when the ml in here is not a traffic star, that's the point why they are mentioned and these dramas are in the range of summer vacation list like Dashing Youth except BF but Dashing Youth is the only one who collided with the Olympics.

The Blood of Youth also did not cross the 30 million mark. Youku aired hundreds of dramas every year and the year is near ending now as we are on Q3. Dashing Youth is the 7TH drama to break that heat index in Youku. Considering the fiasco that happened behind the scene here, the strength of the ml is still commendable considering how it is more successful than Follow Your Heart, Burning Flames, and I will mention RMP again. It is able go cross that 20+ million because of his first half, no need to talk about the second half sml story because that's where it goes downhill.

It is safe to say that it's not impossible that the producers and screenwriters are bashing their heads with frustration because they chose to go in that script/plot direction.
