I remember the Zhu Ge Qing actor here in the drama version actually tried to get Wang Ye, if my memory serves me right, he prepared for it for years and he told it to Neo in the livestream for the first time, it kinda got a lil awkward silent atmosphere in there 🤣😭

the idea is that with that "halo", the FL or the heroine of the story will always have a way out in situations and vice versa for ML. For example, in a supporting role if you get killed then byeeeeee but with the "halo", there will always be a "magical" incident that will prevent the heroine from getting killed blah blah iykyk haha

golden armor is the plot armor, like in normal scenario there is no way the protagonist survives an arrow deep in the heart but with the golden armor, voila! the protagonist is safe and sound miraculously (any stunt will be pulled even how ridiculous it is just to justify saving the protagonist).

fr, I really hate it when supposed smart characters suddenly get dumbed down for the sake of the plot, like they could have used a reasonable excuse on why he got there 🤷

the execution in the drama is basically QXX offering himself to the enemy 🙃
