I think people is really trying to put down a good drama. I do not understand at all why but maybe they are really hard to please and think everthing should be perfect. So hard to make everyone happy. As long as you enjoyed the show that is what matters. Do not get affected by other people's comment.
I know you are asking about other people's opinion. I think you should try it and decide as each person has different likes and dislikes. You can try an episode or 2 then decide if you want to continue or drop it.
