They got me crying with the Hadam scent reveal. Usually I get sad but don't tear up because those moments are built up and telegraphed, but for some reason every time we saw Hadam at the store checking scents my brain was in auto pilot and didn't think anything of it. Even the one scene we had of her holding her childhood blanket and taking it in, didn't click with me. So the moment she hugged her future MIL, breathed in, and said something along the lines of 'I finally found it', all the past scenes rushed to my head and I cracked, felt so sad/happy for her, I feel like that was incredibly well done.

Wow, it really isn't airing tomorrow. Does this not fall under the "cruel and unusual punishment" flag? End with a bummer, and then delay a week, smh

This seems like it might break into my top drama's list. Hope they keep it up. I jotted down more questions in episode 1 of this series than I ever have before. I was sooooo confused but in a good way, since I could tell we were supposed to be. The reveal early in episode 2 cleared up a good chunk of the questions but still a lot more to be cleared up. All characters have been great up to now and hope it stays that way. (Technically there was a trash character but hoping they stay in the flashbacks for a while, maybe forever.)

Look, just give it a shot and watch it, ideally without knowing the premise. Potentially it won't hit for you and that's fine, but if it does, there's a pretty good chance it will be extremely enjoyable and that's a gamble worth taking. I had no expectations, just saw a good rating, and I loved it. Like with all stories, there are imperfections but they nailed some key things, including my favorite and sadly rarest thing in kdramas, a half decent (or better) ending.

I mean, the main reason she doesn't want to get married is she fell in love with someone, earlier in the series she was ok with the marriage. Then this person she fell in love with asks her to promise to keep a secret, and the persons kid specifically tells her he dislikes people who break promises. I'm not sure I'm seeing how she's nuts for being unsure what the right move is... if the "random man" never ends up liking her, avoiding the marriage isn't all that important in her eyes.

Can someone help me understand what I'm missing, I've watched 6 episodes but somehow it seems like I'm missing parts? I've seen clips of them ziplining in the desert and of Yujin driving a bumpy vehicle with NaPD as passenger etc. but I thought that happened in Abu Dhabi but they're not there anymore and I haven't seen those episodes? Are their more full versions of the episodes airing somewhere or are those clips somehow from future episodes or something?

Does anyone have a rec of a show with a similar character as Yoo Je yi? Doesn't have to be exact but essentially someone who is "powerful" but not always abusing it (not exactly what I mean). Someone interesting, not cartoonishly evil or angelic?

You have some valid points but I think the second witch was an extremely important part. It helps bring our ML's motivations a BIT back to normal. The obsession for the past decade wasn't all about the girl he never talked to, but his closest friend that wasn't able to live his life freely either.

Sooooo glad I didn't read that last week! lol. It was a fun reveal yesterday, I'm also a bit curious about the girl (who was attacked) telling him it wasn't his fault and that she wasn't interested in him. It's probably true but that's also what most decent people would say. Anyway yeah thanks for your comment and you're absolutely right about the relevance of that whole situation

Found myself saying "this is so stupid" and "I love it" over and over. Definitely don't regret putting time into it, there were some execution flaws that I'm sure are what caused a lot of the low ratings and people who dropped it, but if you like things that get better in the second half this is worth sticking through!

Ok. That was a good f-ing episode. Lets go. So glad I hadn't clued in, it was done pretty freaking well. I wish, idk, maybe the series was a little "tighter", a little more easily accessible so it could be enjoyed by more people but as for myself, this has been great.

True. Tbh the vibe I got from the show was that there was some supernatural aspect to the attraction people had for her, but even if they outright said it was not supernatural in any way I wouldn't even blink.

Between trucks, people on scooters/bikes/skateboards beelining for women on the street, and stairs, there are many dangerous things one must watch out for when you find yourself in a kdrama.

I appreciate the spoiler space, because I did open your tag but stopped myself from reading what is below, definitely don't want to know. To clarify though I don't think the detective is irrelevant, just that case with the hurt woman and her family blaming him and all that I found a little random considering we have 2 episodes left. That being said, for all I know what you wrote in your comment does pertain to that case so you def could be right, I'll be back in a week to check :)
