Does anyone know how the book ends? Happy or Sad ending?
Sad.. most historical c-dramas end sad. I would say 90% of the ones I have watched are sad endings however I don't see it as sad but rather a new beginning. It all has to end at some point, right? But nowadays, the drama adaptations are deviating from the novel.

Most likely will be a season 2 with new cast... not sure if they want more money but if that's the case, that won't be happening with a new cast. If you take a look at the novel, it doesn't end with an open ending like that. The only reason why is because there's simply not enough time to tell it all in 58 episodes..

You haven't seen the opening/ending credits then.. eventually she will fall for him. Sad ending indeed but who knows.. maybe it will be open ending like the trends currently.

She was pretty good in Pretty Li Hui Zhen. I find her decent in this drama as well. Quite a pretty mixed Asian. :) Disliking the dubbing of the male lead though. Both were in the same drama as I mentioned. :) Great to see them as the otp here.

Very cliche.. I dropped it within 5 episodes.. I normally give dramas at least 4-5 episodes before calling it quits. Maybe because I am biased but every drama I try of the main female lead.. I end up dropping.

I agree. There are some strong messages in the drama. People complain about the main otp but they are written like that for a reason and I think the actors/actresses did a great job portraying the characters. My only complaint is Zheng Shuang has the same expressions in almost all her dramas from Chronicle of Life to Love o2o and now here.

Ep 20 shows Shi Yi alone with the dog--- Xue Ji passed away due to her internal organs failing which means she was no longer immortal.
Ep 21 shows a few minutes added on showing Xue Ji surviving and living again hand in hand with Shi Yi. Although some people say it is happy nor sad, I would agree since this drama portrayed a lot of good morals (living life to the fullest and not regretting what you have done and said to your loved ones).
I might pick up the subbing for Eternal Love 2017.. not sure why the 10 miles of peach blossoms chose eternal love as the other name to the drama but this current drama The Eternal Love 2017 fits the title well. Their love is bound to be eternal... noticed how in the opening credits we see the main actor's hair going grey (hair goes grey hinting eternal love??) .
Princess Agents--pick it back up again, Chingu. Eps 44-45 just got real with YWY and Xing'er. hehehhee. You already know base on the wiki spoilers that Xun'er will go haywire for revenge.. haha! Xing'er and him were not meant to be.
Hehehe.. I am glad someone else gets Perfect Couple vibes. By the way, there is the Eternal Love 2017 c-drama if you are interested. :) Very good and cheesy. YWY's guard from the Princess Agents is the main actor. He is quite new at acting but nonetheless he fits the role well.

K-dramas are NOT realistic. They are fun and fast to watch but other than that, nothing new. Even though I dislike TW dramas dragging at least most of it is more realistic than K-dramas can ever offer. If you want more realistic dramas, try Rush to the Dead Summer
