My first drama was ''Itazura na Kiss - Love in Tokyo'', and I remember that day perfectly. I'm not a big fan of anime, I don't really watch it, but that day I ended up looking for a romance novel to watch and found the first version of the anime with the same name.
And I remember watching it and with my mind at the time, liking it. And I started researching the anime and at the time I saw that there were versions with real people and I chose one to watch which turned out to be the Japanese version on the Viki website (and thus began my career as a translator too) and I simply became addicted to the story, I watched the first season, the special film and the second season.
It's funny to think that I got hooked on a drama that addresses some things that, as an adult, nowadays, I find very problematic. However, a pre-teen at the time didn't see it.
I believe that even though I don't agree with many things about this drama and its versions, I keep it in my heart with all the strength I can. Because he was the one who opened doors to being able to watch other dramas and learn about other cultures. [An addendum, at that time I was starting to like BTS too, so everything came together]
At the time I followed the careers of most of the actors and nowadays I realize the big difference that happened in their lives, I'm happy to have followed everything.
Nowadays, if the opening of the drama plays, I still know how to sing, and it brings me nostalgic feelings that bring me back to times without responsibilities, my youth, school days... In short, a time when I had no serious worries.
